what a day! light rain all morning but somehow ended up with a decent haul of 5 catfish, all around 7-9 lbs. missed a big one tho, got off near the boat. used my trusty old spinning rod, still got it! hope tomorrow's just as good!
ok so today was a bit of a washout, rain on and off. still went out with my buddy, and we caught a couple of little cats but nothing to write home about. wind was crazy too, felt like casting into a hurricane! better luck next time i guess.
woke up to a rainy forecast, but i took my chances. it started drizzlin a bit after i got out there but who cares! managed to snag 3 good catfish, biggest was 10 lbs! had my trusty baitcast reel, it did me right. caught em on cut bait. even with the rain it was a fun trip!
overcast day at clear lake, wind was really pickin up! but we still got our lines in the water. caught a few cats around 6 lbs, good for the stew! lost a couple too, dang it. the rain held off until we were done though, so that was a win!
hit clear lake for some catfishin again. same bait as last time, but only managed to land 1 sizeable cat. weather was nice though! was just chillin and enjoying the sun, even if the fishing was a bit slow. broke out the cooler for some beers too, can't complain too much.
