Clark Hill Lake Fishing Report

another rainy day today, could barely see through the rain! didn't catch anything but at least I enjoyed some peace and quiet out there. water was high and muddy, reminds me it’s always worth a try even if it’s tough going.

yesterday was a total washout! just pouring rain all day, didn’t even get a nibble. worst part? lost a nice lure to a snag in that downpour. still hoping for better days ahead. looking forward to trying again!

fishing on Tuesday was a bit of a mess, it was drizzling off and on. but I still pulled in a couple more crappie. used a black/chartreuse jig. fished around brush piles. glad I got my rain gear on, kept me dry enough. worth it!

finally some sunshine today! went solo and hit my favorite spot, caught 2 nice channel cats on shrimp. the feel of that pull is just the best. learned my lesson to get out earlier though, sun was hot by noon. can’t wait to go back!

was at the lake last Saturday, weather was perfect but I think fish were feeling lazy, only caught 1 little largemouth. tried everything from topwater to deep diving crankbaits. guess it happens sometimes. still nice being out there, ya know?
