Hello Everyone,
Today we had a fantastic day on the water . Lots of action on medium sized Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail, nicer grade Dorado, and even some Wahoo.
A fantastic mixed bag.
We cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Less flash, more RESULTS!
Today we hit our stride. Pulling on fish hard to get them away from the sharks, in addition to that the conditions improved in our favor. We had less fish around us today but our landing ratio was much better. We were able to put together a nice day picking at quality Yellowfin. Ranging from 40-80 lbs with the occasional 100 lber. Great day overall.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an update from “The San Diego” out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we fished offshore and saw very good sign of big Bluefin Tuna.
We caught 13 Bluefin for our 22 passengers. The fish are between 50 and 70 pounds. So the quality is very nice. They are not biting full speed yet but we did see some amazing schools today. Captain Mike Pritchard called in from aboard the Tribute to update SportfishingReport.com on it's current trip. We have around 35 Yellowtail and 35 Yellowfin Tuna for the day. We have a very light load today of only 11 anglers. And we have 65+ fish so far. We are still fishing.

I don't think anything abnormal happened today during our turn around. Well, Sysco was late so we left for the fuel dock before that came aboard so, just another turn around day is what I'm trying to say. We loaded the Paul Hess group, our Hess homies and we were out. I think things went OK at the bait receivers. We'll find out. We fished this afternoon. It's the year of departure fish days. We scratched 16 nice grade tuna. We're traveling now and I'm on watch. It's almost 3:00 am on the 22nd and I believe we're in American waters. I'm thinking about it and I don't think I've ever fished in American waters in the beginning of a 5 day trip which is what we're on.
The weather this afternoon was rolly and choppy. The weather now is pretty nice but I think it's supposed to be bad the next couple of days. Windy, choppy, rolly oh my.

Builder Harold Davis of Davis Boats in Paso Robles was fixing to leave on the Polaris Supreme.
"We're building and selling more diesels in our larger boats these days," he remarked. "We're making more pilot house models, especially. Even down here, it's nice to be able to get in out of the weather. It takes away the cold and the wet." Davis was just back from "Salmon Getaway Weekend,"at Bodega Bay.
