Polaris Supreme Trip Report 10-25-2019 We spent the day looking for yellowtail and only tied into a few. Truthfully most the day was spent dodging wind. Our ride was good but we had some serious offshore Santa Ana conditions. Will be spending all day tomorrow traveling up to San Diego it looks like it's going to be great weather. Will be into the dock on Sunday morning and be doing 17 days of boat work before we head back out again for eight days on November 14. Thanks for tuning in to see you then. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

 Hello all.  Things went smooth today at the landing.  We got in first, pre 5:30 AM and we had our peops on by 7:30 with our last climbing aboard before 9:00 and we were gone.  Gone to the bait receivers.  I was sure of what we were going to get.  Straight 2 day old sardine.  I told everyone we'd be fishing our way down to the wahoo grounds.  It's hot water down there so I didn't want to bring that bait down there too soon in case it would all die.  But things were different at the receivers.  They had that little mackerel we got a couple trips ago.  So we loaded up with that because I'm pretty confident it will live good in that 80+ degree water down below.  So as of now, we're headed straight down  to the wahoo/tuna/yellowtail/dorado grounds.  At least we hope it is.  We'll start down there and if we have to work back up to make a catch we will but hopefully we can just make a trip of it down below.  So that means we travel today, tomorrow, and arrive the following day hopefully by mid morning.  We'll see what kind of speed we make.

 Today was nice.  We hauled but in the morning, but after getting bait and putting her on course, the rush was over.  We have been fishing the first day out on every trip since early August, so this is quite the treat not fishing today.  We love to fish over here but just relaxing, not having to rush to get the seminar done and rushing to get the loaner tackle out was really nice.  I took a nap.  It was pretty cool.  I'm showered, rested and just sitting here writing to you folks.

 

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 11-01-2018

A little slower today but we still had lots of fun! Some more nice grade yellowfin and a few yellowtail thrown in. Good weather as you can see in the pictures! Fish started biting in the dark and we got our last fish in the dark. One more day wish us luck! We still have some openings on our six day after Thanksgiving if you want to come give this a try.

Hello everyone, Today we had to work at it. The Yellowtail did not come easy, but we were able to piece it together with a couple flurries in the morning. For the most part the Yellowtail being tagged have been great size,18-35 lbs! In addition to the Yellowtail we we did land some beautiful grouper. Both Snowy and Leopard!. A great 8 day trip bonus! Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-30 To 12-01-2018 Getting a little behind on the reports. This is our report for the 30th and the first. We departed Guadalupe and traveled all day on the 30th to Ensenada to check in. Our weather was pretty nasty but our ride was not that bad due to the fact that we headed straight in for Colnett on the coast and then turned up toward Ensenada after the weather got better. The port of Ensenada was closed due to weather so The Port Capt. had us all signed releases to allow us departure. The weather going up to San Diego was not that bad at all there was plenty of space between the swells and it was a pretty decent ride. We cleared San Diego customs around 5 AM and were unloading in San Diego by 530. What a absolute beautiful catch we had of that yellowfin tuna from the island. We did our usual quick turnaround and are out now on a seven-day OTR charter to Guadalupe. We did our check in at Ensenada and will be at the island around 230 tomorrow afternoon. Boats that are fishing there right now have excellent sign of 80 to 150 pound tuna. Wish us luck the Polaris Supreme Crew !
