Caples Lake Fishing Report

we braved the patchy rain at Caples today. wind picked up more than expected, made it tough to cast. ended up with 1 decent sized trout. it was a bit of a challenge but had fun chatting and enjoying the scenery. i love this lake no matter the weather!

fished Caples Lake today, clouds everywhere but it was still nice. water relatively warm at 12 degrees. got a couple nice catches, biggest was like 5 lbs! used a mix of spinners and lures. wind was only a slight annoyance. overall a great outing with my pals!

back at Caples Lake today, weather was not great with rain on and off. wind was strong, around 27 km/h. only got 2 bites, lost one fish. things were a bit slow but we enjoyed a picnic by the lake anyway. still love being out here, rain or shine.

so we went fishing at Caples despite the patchy rain. not ideal but we were determined! only caught one little trout but we had fun. wind was fierce and made it hard to fish properly, but we laughed a lot. sometimes it's just about being out there, ya know?

hit Caples today with my buddy Jake. caught a couple of nice larger trout, like 4lbs each! sunny but wind was wild, like 30 km/h, we struggled a bit with keeping the boat steady. used some spoons and they were all over it. nothing beats a good fishing day!
