25 may, well, today was a washout lol. heavy rain shower all day. just a few bites but no keepers. talked with some other anglers who said it was dead out there. still had fun just hangin with the crew. hopin next week is way better!
24 may, man it poured today! we were out there for a bit but the rain hit hard. caught a small walleye but it was tough. still a good time with friends, we huddled under a tree for a lil while. can’t wait to go back when the weather’s better!
17 may, decided to try my luck again. partly cloudy and a bit chilly. managed to snag a couple smallmouth bass, both around 2 lbs. didn’t use much fancy tackle, just a simple spinner. nice day to chill outside even tho the wind was howlin!
12 may, another sunny day at calamus! i brought my son along this time, he was so excited. we caught 2 nice 3 lb channel cats on live bait. relaxed day, felt like old times. wind was strong but we found some cover by the reeds.
11 may, sunny and warm! finally! me and my buddy hit the water early, got some topwater action goin. caught 4 good sized pike, biggest was a solid 6 lbs! used a buzzbait, they were hittin hard with that wind. got some great pics too.
