ca Fishing Report 2025

Hello and good morning! We will be pulling into the dock in a couple of hours off of our 3 day open group. The fishing was tough and you had to work hard to put a fish on board. This group was one of the hardest fishing and courteous toward each other group I have ever fished with. Good job Katrina and Guy's . We will be at the dock for 3 days before resuming our season. Well hello all.  We departed today on a 5 day trip with many regulars on board and so far a good load of bait which is key to starting off a successful trip.  As I'm writing this I still don't know where we're going tomorrow. On the one hand I'm listening to the boats on the radios and hearing them finding schools of bluefin in the 15-30 pound range that aren't biting well, and on the other hand there is a whole lotta 50-70 pound bluefin that are unaccounted for.  2 weeks ago it was everywhere and then it vanished.  It's somewhere out here and we want to find it.  I'll make the decision at dark whether to stop short for the local bluefin or keep her rolling down in search of the bigger grade BF.  Tune in tomorrow to find out where we end up.  I'll be curious myself.  For now that dinner bells getting close to ringing and we're looking forward to that prime rib.

Conditions at the islands are improving very fast. We saw a couple of schools of yellowtail today and landed one. Excellent red fishing on some well rested stones.

The apollo is running a two day charter this weekend and needs two people. The trip is limited to only 20 people and departs on Thurs. night at 9pm and returns on Sat. night around 7pm. The cost of each spot is $520. This includes all food and mexican permits. If you are interested please contact Dan Hernandez at 909 534-7637.

How's it going everyone, We have just wrapped up our second day of fishing. We started up the morning in prime yellowfin country. The morning began with short stops with fish being caught on the troll and live baits on the slide. After searching the area for a couple hours we were able to find what we wanted, a big school of Yellowfin tuna that were eager to come aboard the Polaris Supreme. From skip-jigs to dead bait these hungry yellowfin wanted it all. During the late morning fishing noticeably slowed, and we decided work our way out of that yellowfin zone and begin heading towards an area were we will be fishing for bigger grade Yellowtail. Filled with anticipation and a delicious chicken dinner, we all hit the sack early to be well rested for the day to come! Also on side note, we just had a spot open up on our next trip, the Beck 5 day. A great group of guys to fish with and a great time of year to fish! Tight lines, Team Supreme

Hello everyone, Today we are supremely sore from pulling on fish. The morning was spent catching a handful of Wahoo, some Grouper, and a bunch of Yellowfin Tuna. When the afternoon rolled around we went looking for Dorado, and found them. It was a excellent grade, and everyone caught as much as they wanted. Very good fishing. We will be targeting Wahoo and Grouper tomorrow. Wish us Luck, Team Supreme

Aug. 30

Not to much to report from the Polaris Supreme today. We did a tiny bit of fishing this morning. We were seeing little dabs of yellowfin where we were and the boats below us were seeing the same thing. Just a little bit of fish scattered around and stops for not much so we wound in the jigs and put the blinders up and traveled down the rest of the day. We did our wahoo seminar mid morning and after that it was a leisure day. Some slept, some made wire leaders and some just kicked back and enjoyed the lovely weather. Man oh man was it nice out today. Flat calm seas, super light breeze and warm. August must be coming to an end and we welcome that. What a cold windy month for us out here. Our speed has been poor and it's looking like we won't be arriving to our destination until after lunch.

Very little signs of Albacore and Blue fin. Beautiful weather and good water. The albacore that were caught by the fleet for the day were very small, 7-11 lbs. And there was very few blue fin with them. Heading to yellowtail grounds tomorrow. Tommy and crew
