61 yellowfin tuna out of four stops.

Tuna fishing was good again today with nice quality tuna. We took off mid-day to hunt for some dorado and wahoo on kelps in the afternoon, but no luck. We will be on the Ridge tomorrow to sweep for wahoo. Our lunch today was an outstanding fresh tuna fillet with avocado, lettuce, tomato and wasabi sauce. We will update again tomorrow. Lifting one of these fish completely off the deck after the long battle may be the toughest part ! Another amazing day of local big fish for captain Matt and the guys. 35 anglers. 20 bluefin tuna. Same tackle suggestions as earlier posts. If you do not own a 2 speed reel. Please rent one from Seaforth Sportfishing when you check in for the trip in the morning.

We spent our last day looking at school after school of albacore. A very good sign of no biting fish. Frustrating? Yes. Oh well. That's just how it goes sometimes. A very good trip in all. Thanks to everyone on board and to the charter master Wayne Martin with Catchy Tackle lures. We'll be rolling back out tomorrow on another 5 day trip. Stay tuned.

Good evening, friends. The Yellowtail grounds were kind to us today. We had a rough go of it this morning but right after lunch time, we got on a spot of really nice fish that bit for us for a 5 hours and we made a fun day of it. The grade of fish was especially nice as most were in the 22-28 lb. class with a few of those premium 'tails thrown in. Flylined Sardines were the hot ticket but the jigs worked now and then too. All in all, it was a great day of Yellowtail fishing and we are pumped. To top it off, the weather was great and those who decided to get down with some sun, the bronzing was real nice.

So that is all. We are now in position to hopefully snag a few of those White Seabass fish and we're hoping to get lucky. Chef Shawn is keeping everyone fat and happy and Paul's group is having a ball. It's a real treat to catch fish with this group, as they had a blast today. We'll give this seabass thing a try for a few hours and if they don't bite, we'll be headed to the tuna grounds again. If they bite, we'll sit tight. Take care, wish us luck, we love you.

Hi friends. Pretty fun day today. One small yellowfin jig strike turned into a plunker on 30-70 lb. bluefin tuna. We had a lot of heartbreaks but we did manage to land a few of those beauties. Love seein' those big brutes. No prettier fish in the ocean, that's for sure. Anyhow, around lunch time, we had to call it a trip and make our way back home. It was a great way to end our day and the Blue/White group is pumped.

Mr. Gledhill is one of the most gracious chartermaster you could ever have and he assembled a great group of guys to take fishing with him. The cocktails and wine are endless and so are the good times. Thanks, Robin.

Anyhow, we'll be arriving to the docks tomorrow at 0600 hours and the boat will be turning around and leaving for a 2-day charter. Look for reports to continue from any number of captains or crewmembers other than myself. Also, we have an 8-day trip leaving after the 2-day that has a few spots on it and in the next couple of weeks, we also have a load of 1 1/2 and 2-day trips on schedule.
