fished Barr Lake on May 22, super cloudy but the fish were still out. caught 2 good-sized walleye using a purple jig. wind wasn't too bad so I could cast easily. missed a couple bites tho, but still had a good time. hoping for better weather next trip!
OMG May 21 was epic! bright and sunny, just how I like it! went out with my boyfriend, got tons of sun and nice tan! caught 6 perch, biggest was 3 lbs! used worms, gotta love it. nice breeze too, made it perfect for the day out. we had a picnic later by the lake too, just awesome!
hit Barr on May 14, yeah, another rainy day. got a bit of everything, light rain at first then it came down hard. fishing was slow, but I caught a decent pike, about 5 lbs. was using a white and blue crankbait. had a few close calls with my gear and the rain but hey, that's fishing!
what a beautiful day on May 12! sunny and warm, finally!! I hit the lake early, around 5:48, and got 4 nice catfish. used chicken liver for bait. water was clear and the bite was on! also saw a bunch of birds, was super peaceful. def going back soon!
man it was rough fishing on May 6. heavy rain made it hard to see but I tried anyway. only managed to hook 1 small bass and lost it at the boat. my gear got completely soaked, felt like a drowned rat. note to self: check weather before going out. should've stayed home!
