Applegate Lake Fishing Report

fished at applegate on 5/22, cloudy again. the bite was slow, but I did manage to land 1 nice bass, maybe 3 lbs. used a drop shot rig with some plastic worms. felt good to finally catch something after a few days of skunking. overall, a peaceful day by the lake.

5/18 was overcast and pretty chilly, but we went to applegate anyway. caught a couple small trout, nothing huge. just used a spoon lure. the wind was a bit whippy, made it hard to cast at times. not my best day fishing, but hey, it’s better than work!

went fishing at applegate on 5/16, cloudy and cool. only caught 2 bass, around 2lbs each. tried a few different lures but they seemed kinda skittish. still a good time with the guys, made a fire and grilled up some burgers afterwards. fishing is about the experience too!

5/13, decided to brave the rain at applegate. didn't catch much tho, just 1 fish, a little rainbow. used my fav spinner, but they were just not biting. still, I enjoyed the fresh air and the sound of the raindrops on the water. sometimes just being out there is enough.

hit applegate on 5/11 during that patchy rain. what a day! caught 4 trout, biggest was 4 lbs! used a bobber with worms. rain was kinda refreshing, kept the crowds away. felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves. love those quiet moments.
