Ryan Bostian checked in to tell us what the San Diego is doing. "The kids are back in school and if you have been waiting for an opportunity to get on the boat, with a light load, this is definitely the time for you. The Coronado Island have had very good Yellowtail signs. It has been inconsistent. We see them one day, we don't see them the next. The bite one day, they don't bite the next.

"Rockfish make up most of the counts, they last couple of days. But we always keep our eye out for Yellowtail. I don't think this season is over by any means. The water is still very warm. There is plenty of 70 degree water around. Reports have Yellowfin tuna moving up the line and there are plenty of Bluefin around. The problem with the Bluefin is finding fish that want to bite. It is just like the Dorado. There are plenty of Dorado, they just are hesitant to bite.

"It seems like the ocean is in a transition. I expect to see some good counts in a week or so. Our reservations are very light. If you've been waiting to get on the boat, with 40 or 50 of your closest friends; this is definitely the time to come on down. Make your reservations at 619-224-3383. The boat is still running everyday and the weather has been outstanding.

Hello Everyone, Today we spent the day targeting the larger Tuna, Yellowtail, Wahoo, and Grouper. We were able to pick the 20-30 lb Yellowfin Tuna for most of the day. There was also some nicer Yellowtail caught on occasion as well. We caught a few Wahoo, but the volume was not around today like we wanted. We are headed up in hopes of big Yellowtail tomorrow. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-06-2016 Good Afternoon everyone, Today we departed on our annual Ranta 5 day. We cleared the point at 11 AM, topped off with a load of sardines, headed south in hopes of some nice august exotics. We have a tackle seminar scheduled for later this afternoon followed by chef Mikes world famous Prime Rib dinner. Finger licking good, cant wait! Until tomorrow, Team Supreme

Owner skipper Tommy Rothery docked his Polaris Supreme August 28 after a five-day Bob Vance charter. The boat's 24 passengers saw a great night-bite at Cedros Island. "We had great fishing at the islands," reported Rothery at Fisherman's Landing. "Good quality yellowtail throughout, and we found some nice yellowfin up to 40-pounds." Steve Pistone of West Hills won first place with a 49.4-pound Benitos yellowtail. Steve fished a ‚Дтdine on a 4/0 Owner Gorilla hook, 30-pound Ande line, a Pro Gear Albacore Special reel and a custom jig stick rod. "I was amazed," Pistone admitted. "I never would have thought he was going to be that big. It was only a 10-minute fight, not long at all. My daughter probably would have got jackpot at Guadalupe, but the shark took a chunk out of her tuna." Chris Mohs of Ventura was second for a 40.4-pound yellowfin, and Kub Ito of Harbor City took third for a 38-pound yellowfin. The Supreme will be heading out on a nine-day charter today, said Rothery.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-01 to 2-2019 Yesterday we finished for yellowtail up the coast until mid day in absolutely beautiful weather with not much luck on the fishing and of it. Water temperature has dropped about 5° from what it was. Today we're just traveling up the line to San Diego again in beautiful weather which we paid for on our four days of fishing down south. Will be arriving tomorrow into San Diego and Alec will be heading out on a seven-day trip. Hopefully we will have paid enough this trip for good weather all next trip for him! Captain Ryan Bostian called in tonight with an update from the San Diego. Today Captain Cameron ran the boat. We had 32 anglers catch 97 Yellowtail. We also had some Barracuda and Bonito. We have are having great weather today and in the near future.
