anchor river Fishing Report 2025

last day out at anchor river before heading home. weather was perfect, slightly overcast. managed to land a hefty 6lb trout! used a spinner and it worked like charm. couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the trip! feeling grateful for the experience.

hit the river again, the weather was decent but windy. got out there early and scored a nice 3lb catfish! thought I lost it a couple of times, but it was worth the fight. good day overall, but wish i caught more. gotta keep trying!

went back to anchor river with some buddies today. it was drizzling a bit but the fish were biting! i caught 2 more salmon and a rainbow trout. used my spinning rod and a small spoon that i painted bright green, they loved it! good laughs all around.

fishing was pretty slow today with the overcast skies, but I did manage to get a nice chub about 4lbs. used a simple bobber and worm setup, classic! felt good to be outside tho, even with the wind picking up. the river was calm otherwise.

it was overcast and chilly today but the fish were on fire! I caught 4 really nice pike, all around 5lbs. was using a jerkbait, they couldn't resist. hooked into a big one that snapped my line tho, ugh! still, great day on the river, can't complain.
