4 yellowtail and plenty of reds and rockfish. The islands continue to move in the right direction.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this evening with an audio update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay.  Today we fished at the Coronado Islands.  The offshore action has been too inconsistent.

Today we had 14 anglers catch 24 Yellowtail (10 to 20 pounders).  They were biting the surface iron pretty good.  Fly-lined sardines also worked well on 25 pound test.  You should bring a yoyo outfit too.  We also had 21 Bonito today.  We also had some Calico Bass action.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in this morning with an update form the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing. The boat is out today we haven’t heard from them yet. We caught 4 Bluefin Tuna over 100 pounds. This is once in a lifetime opportunity. We only have a handful of reservations for tomorrow. We are a definite go! Please be sure to be prepared with a heavy rod. We recommend at least a 50 pound outfit. You can also bring a lighter outfit for the Yellowtail. Listen to the audio for all tackle details. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-12-2016 It was a good day today, a lot of traveling and we got a few fish. All and all everybody had a good day in good weather relaxing and had time to make new acquaintances as well as renew old ones. Team Supreme

Stumbled upon a couple of biting schools and enjoyed some semi controlled chaos. 2 bluefin tuna 152 yellowfin tuna. 30 lb flyline bait was perfect again today.

Today was kind of a disappointing day. We woke up catching yellowtail but it quickly stopped biting after daylight. We trolled up the place for several strikes on wahoo but the catching was slim. The ratio of hooked to land is never good with wahoo but this morning it was especially bad. We lost 3 marauders today. That's about what you lose when you have a 100 fish day on these things and we did not. Anyways, after that we weren't getting strikes anymore so we kept her rolling to a couple of spots I've been real excited about trying for the last couple of weeks and it really bummed me out. No wahoo, no tuna, not even any dorado. A few yellows was all. So we ran back up to this mornings honey hole and had a strike where the odds were in our favor. I'm not sure if we lost a fish. 8 lucky anglers caught a nice wahoo. We trolled it up till dark for nothing else. We're going to give it one more chance tomorrow looking in a different wahoo, dorado zone and if it stinks we're going to finish up the trip in the closer to home zone. We're keeping an eye on the storm so there's nothing to worry about ladies. I'll bring you hubbies home safe and sound.

Hey everyone, 

Today we fished offshore looking for Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna. Action was few and far in between. We got lucky and stumbled on a small kelp patty that was loaded with Dorados and Yellowfin Tuna. We fished it for a couple hours, slowly the the rest hot Dorado bite transitioned into cleaner tuna fishing towards the end. Excellent day of action, fantastic day to end the trip on.

We are in tomorrow and heading back out for 8 days.
