Good afternoon. Boatwork is progressing nicely. Wrenches have been thrown, flashlights have been chucked, and the curse words have been flowing like the beer flows like wine in a little place called Assssssspppen. I personally have never heard quite so many variations of the F word in my short life. That's boatwork, though. It's like beating your head against a wall for a... month but somehow, after you think that you can't take anymore of a bashing, a beautiful new wall comes about and we're happy again. Yay!
Sorry for the rant but we're in the middle of repainting the generators and main engines and that isn't an easy task. A lot of prep work and scrubbing crud with a toothbrush, literally, but if they come out as good as Jed's compressors and motors came out, we are going to have the prettiest engine room in the fleet.
With our Coast Guard inspection on Friday, we decided to bring the reinforcements in and his name is Mark. I snapped a really awesome photo of Mark on a short break that I can't wait to share. It's like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and this particular photo says it all without saying a word. I promise, I'll get those photos up soon.
Anyhow, I don't mean to vent but I truly wanted to give everyone a glimpse into what goes into maintaining a vessel such as the Polaris Supreme. A lot of blood, sweat, tears (we cry tears of joy at days end), and curse words go into loving our beloved boat but we truly do love her because she loves us when we show her love. Let me tell you, we are showing her a lot of love and it's on the inside, and that's true love - it runs deeper than the eye can see.

Polaris Supreme Update 08-02-2012
Hi Anglers. I'd just like to start by thanking our Polaris Supreme passengers on the last trip. You did a fantastic job and the crew enjoyed fishing with all of you. Even you Byler. Congrats to Mr. Myles for taking first place in the jackpot with his 39 pound bluefin tuna. Also want to give a shout out to a Mr. Jack and Mark for staying close behind taking second and third places with a yellowfin and another bluefin. I better see all of you next year.
After doing our normal arrive depart chores of offloading fish and passengers, scrubbing the boat, fueling the boat, loading groceries and the new passengers we were off again.
We departed on Tom Chaparros 14th annual charter. This year he turned it into a 6 day. We got our bait and now we are underway. We will do the norm here this afternoon. A lot of rigging up tackle, napping, reading and just hanging out enjoying the day. We have high hopes in the offshore tuna grounds tomorrow so check back and I'm sure we will have a good report.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-25-2016
Good afternoon. We just departed on the Sadie Hawkins Ladies Charter, however they are joined by a few men. We've been excited to get this trip underway to watch the ladies finally out number the guys and show their skills. We had the pleasure of meeting Charter Head Bev Seltzer during boat work and it looks like she brought a ell equipped group of anglers with her this year. We would also like to send a very special thanks to Joe Beck for hosting yet another year of the annual Bob Vance 5 day trip. Although Bob hasn't joined us in a few years, we're still proud to have his name on the trip. As always, the guys fished hard and were rewarded with a really nice catch on some yellowfin and bluefin tuna. The top guys on the list with the jackpot fish were: taking the number 1 spot, "Team Nevada" Tom Christianson with an impressive 96 lb bluefin, second spot was Damon Cassell with a 76 lb yellowfin tuna and rounding out this trips jackpot was also "team Nevada" Dan burns with a 75 lb yellowfin. Way to go guys! Look forward to next year. So, for now, it's time to eat lunch and gear up for the next 3 days! We'll check back this evening with our next report.
