Apollo docked December 9 at Fisherman's landing after an eight-day trip with just 11 anglers, who visited Alijos Rocks for some nice tuna fishing with skipper J.J. Gerritsen. Many large yellowtail were also caught.

Putting away the Bluefin gear for now. Our sights are set on warm water fish next. Possibly Wahoo or Yellowtail!

We have new shorter trips on line for the weekend after we get back departing Friday July 20 and Sunday the 22nd.

So we did it again. We had a nice day. Arrive/depart day. Once again, we got out here at a good time and connected on a couple of schools. We ended our day with 81 tuna. And they're still that good grade. 25 pound average. So nice. Free ones. Departure fish. I told everyone to bring there horse shoes and rabbits feet. I think they did.
The bait thing went better than expected. It wasn't Armageddon like I thought it may be. We used 1/2 the bait I thought would croak and the rest hasn't had any die off yet. Now we just need our main slammer of bait to hang in there. The only thing is we didn't get a full load of bait so we may need to catch some down the line. At least I hope that's the only thing. Time will tell Joe. Time will tell.
We're going to drift here tonight. It literally feels like we're anchored in the bay right now. It's so nice. We'll start here in the morning and try to do it again. Let's keep the ball rolling.

GREAT FISHING!!! APOLLO had 25 anglers brought home 1 Yellowtail, 229 Rockfish & 20 Lingcod. We will continue running every Friday evening through February. Cost is $235 includes bait, bunk and Mexican fishing permit. These trips will be targeting Yellowtail, Lingcod and Rock cod. We have a two day charter that needs anglers. This trip departs Thursday 9/13 at 9 p.m. fishing Friday 9/14 and Sat. 9/15. This trip is limited to 18 passengers. Cost is $650 per angler and includes food and permits. This is a great opportunity to fish on an ultra limited charter with a great group of people.
