Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an announcement. We have finished our boat work and will be running our first trip on Saturday, February 3rd. We will be fishing the Coronado Islands. However, we will be looking around and will be targeting the best opportunities. During the beginning of the fishing season it is very important to make an advanced reservation. Hey everybody the voyager is running a open party 2 day trip this up coming weekend!

The season is still very much here and the fishing is excellent on Dorado, Yelllowfin, Bluefin, and yellowtail!! This may very well be the Voyager's last offshore adventure before it begins it's rock cod season. The ticket cost is $425 and this includes permit and bunk. We are limited load to only 16 passengers so please act quickly. Day 2 will be spent offshore as well, the fishing at the dumper has been exceptional for the BFT's!! And the better grade yellows!! 12-25lbs

100 grand, 77 inches of rain and enough acetone in our blood to kill an elephant. We are finally done. This Saturday March 16 we start fishing. We will be fishing the Coronado Islands targeting yellowtail and falling back on ground fish if needed. Bring your passports and please make reservations at 619-224-3383. Hi friends. We woke up today to a lovely Sunday brunch complete with Belgium waffles, bacon, eggs, and bloody mary's. I didn't have any. Sad face. After brunch, we were treated to all of nature's glory with rain, lightning, and thunder. Some of the strikes were less than a mile from us. Amazing. Anyhow, after a carne asada taco lunch and more cocktails that I didn't have, we made it to the fishing grounds and enjoyed a couple of drifts on a beautiful grade of yellows up to twenty-five pounds. They were biting that yo-yo jig real nice but our bite was short lived. After the sun had set, we sat down to a prime rib dinner and lots of red wine that I didn't have and we finished off with pecan pie and ice cream. I had some.

So that was our day in a nutshell. Hopefully the fish aren't as crabby tomorrow and we can get down to business. Wish us luck and we'll hit you up on Monday night. Peace out, homies.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-07-2019 Nice travel day today! Good weather good company and great food. Oh yeah little bit a napping and to. Just rigged and traveled today will be arriving at our fishing grounds tomorrow. Looks like were going to have good weather for the next couple days. See you tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Howdy partners. Our morning whack yielded us 24 Bluefin, with most being in the 30-plus pound class, so that was just dandy. However, the traffic was too much for us to handle and with a declining bite, Drew made like the guy should have done for Lady Antebellum, and took us downtown. The move paid off, somewhat. We hit a few kelps for some action on some Yellowtails and a crazy Mahi-Mahi, but the weather made it tough to go any direction but downswell. 20 knots of breeze and a heavy, rolling swell just would not allow us to safely go where we would've liked to once we found the right water structure. Frustrating. Anyhow, we did manage to scratch up a couple of Bluefin late in the day but before we could get a beat on 'em, darkness fell and we had to turn downswell again so that everyones dinner plates stayed on their table. Oh well, maybe when the weather subsides, this area will be productive, but today, we can't quite justify saying that it was.

So that's it. We gave it our all today and the gang hung tough even with the lousy weather. After dinner, we're going to have to kick her up to get ourselves in position at the local tuna area tomorrow. We'll be finishing up our trip closer to home so we'll have all day to make the most of our final day. Take care and wish us luck.

    Good evening folks from the bridge of the Polaris Supreme.  Let me just start off by telling you how beautiful of a night it is out here.  First of all the ocean is flat calm.  Just a super light breeze and no sea.  It's almost like we're in the bay right now.  The moon is full, huge and bright as can be and it's lighting up the night.  

    We left today on an Eric Rogger 5 day charter.  I think it's in the 30's on number of consecutive years he's been doing this one so our hat goes off to him. Owner/operator Tommy is back on board so I'll be running as second captain this trip.  I think the sardines grew about 90 percent in length and weight since the last time we got bait 3 days ago.  They're lunkers.  They'll make great yellowtail bait and I'll bet the bluefin will dig them, we'll have to see about them yellowfin.

    I guess you can tell by my questioning of the last paragraph that we didn't get in them this afternoon.  The darn fish just moved too far away for us to reach on our departure day today.  We got there minutes late but there was some pretty darn good hits this evening so we're excited about tomorrow.
