Hi everyone, We will be fishing the Channel Islands out of Santa Barbara this weekend and we have space on a open charter sponsored by Berkley. These are always fun trips to be a part of there will be give aways and swag. The trip will depart from Sea Landing at 9pm on Thursday night and fish Friday returning Friday evening. The trip will target Shallow water rockfish and if there is some sign of seabass or halibut around we will give those a shot too. The trip is limited to 20 people and the cost is $200. Good evening everyone, Today we had a great day of yellowtail fishing. It was by no means a slam dunk. However our persistence paid off. The fish never seemed to settle into a certain part of the water column. The bottom dropper loop, mid water flyline with sliding sinker, and strait fly line with no weight were all working at different times. We were able to get everyone some yellows on the boat. All the yellowtail were excellent quality. 18-30 lbs, cant complain about the size! Tomorrow we are going after yellowfin tuna. Wish us luck! Team supreme

Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an announcement. We have finished our boat work and will be running our first trip on Saturday, February 3rd. We will be fishing the Coronado Islands. However, we will be looking around and will be targeting the best opportunities. During the beginning of the fishing season it is very important to make an advanced reservation. The Tribute finished off the day with 165 Yellowfin Tuna, 14 BluefinTuna and 1 Skipjack for the 33 anglers on board.

A DRIFT WE Will NEVER FORGET ! Today we went out with 6 passengers who ignored yesterday’s fish count and understand that fishing is more about spending time in nature than harvesting meat. After our 3 hour drift everyone onboard had either landed or fought and released a fish of a lifetime. Final tally was 7 bluefin, 6@ 110-150 and 1@65 lbs. please come prepared with a 25 lb rod a a 40 lb rod and a 50-80 lb rod. Today’s best setup was a 4oz. torpedo sinker rubber banded above a 2/0 circle hook on 50-80 lb.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-08-2016 Hello Everyone, Another great day here. Today the surface action was second to none. We had some really nice hits on yellowtail in the morning. Lots of surface iron and flyline fish. As the day went on it slowed to a steady pick. It seemed spots of breezing and pushing fish were the hot ticket today, so tomorrow we will keep our eyes peeled in search of them once again. Great day with a lot of visual action to go along with it down here! Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Today was a slow day out here for us. We never did find a school. We did a little bit of scratching in the morning, the afternoon was non existent and then we scratched some for about an hour into dark. Only a couple schools seen out here today. It was a slow day for most. We're going to stick it out here for the morning and if we don't see anything in the first couple of hours we're going to work up towards home and look along the way. We're still a long way from home. There's plenty of fishy ground above here too. The weather was OK today. I wouldn't sign up for it. A little breezy and choppy but plenty fishable. Looks like we can expect it better tomorrow and a very nice ride up. Hope they're right.

39 pass. 195 skipjack tuna, and 2 yellowtail. Very good action in very good weather.
