oscars Fishing Report 2025

Hello Everyone, Today we searched the Baja coast in hopes of Yellowtail. The conditions are not ideal. 12kt winds with the current going the opposite direction. However the Yellows did bite for us. All were excellent size and most were feeding on the surface and made for incredible action on the surface. We are headed up now may do some fishing tomorrow if the current permits. Will report then, Team Supreme

Here comes the 2008 season and I have some openings to share with you.  The First is a trip with the phiscadores, this is a 2-day which departs on Sunday night, June 22nd.  This trip takes a light load.  Usually 12 or 15 people. Email me for more details if you're interested.  Today was mostly a travel day for us.  We did have a nice little surprise in the morning.  We had a double jig strike on wahoo.  Then we had a couple more singles.  Then we had one more single a little later along with a few dorados.  When we got to the yellowtail grounds in the afternoon we found mucho wind.  It was blowing 25-30 knots right through the grounds we were planning on fishing so we fished elsewhere.  We found a little spot with some current before dark and we captured 6 cow yellows, we're talking 30-40 pounders, to go along with lots of 10-12 pounders and some bonito.  Action is what we call that.  We now have to head north and we'd like to find some dorado tomorrow.  It's going to be a bumpy/windy ride up tonight and we hope for it to back off tomorrow for our fishing and ride home.
 

Mike Pritchard called in this morning with this report for the Tribute. "We've had a very nice start here this moring. A couple of kelps have been absolutely fantastic. Great Yellowtail fishing to go along with some Yellowfin and Dorado. We caught 160 Yellowtail out of 2 drifts. A lot of the fish were caught on surface irons, swimbait and even poppers.

"We are now targeting some tuna or maybe some Dorado. We'll keep you informed."

We had awesome variety this year on our 8-10 day trips. Especially the Dorado fishing on kelp patty’s!

This is Richie's end of the day report from yesterday. It really has been some incredible tuna fishing since the beginning of June.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-23-2019 We left yesterday on an eight day private charter with 10 anglers! We got a nice load of bait in San Diego and had really smooth sailing down all day. Today the same program on the weather it was absolutely gorgeous all day and of course the usual rigging good food napping and camaraderie amongst crew and passengers. Looking forward to getting to the fishing grounds tomorrow! Seriously watching a gnarly storm coming in over Thanksgiving! May slide in a day early just to avoid a serious beating. Standby for more on that one were watching it closely. Looks like it's going to be a lot of good rain for California though. The Polaris Supreme Crew!
