ocean Fishing Report 2024

Good Morning everyone, Today we had some time to fish for Yellowtail along the coast. We managed to catch some Yellowtail mixed in with the Barracuda and Bonito. It was great action for the day. If we make good speed we may be able to fish tomorrow. Will report then, Team Supreme

Tuesday Dec 4 looks to be the best weather window for those folks looking to fish with us.  If yellowtail are unavailable we will target cod in 180-400 ft.  Before anyone freaks out, this picture was taken a long time ago and was on a Comercial boat fishing in legal US waters.  Come prepared for yellowtail and bottom fish.

6 yellowfin tuna 4 bluefin tuna. Tough conditions on the grounds today. Lots of wind and current made it very difficult to land the 30-70 lb tuna we had under the boat. Weather is forecast to be nicer tomorrow. Come out and enjoy the calm before the storm.

Good Morning Everyone, Today was a nice travel day. We mainly rigged all day, preparing for tomorrow. We found a dead Elephant Seal in the middle of some beautiful water, usually a dead animal out there is a beacon for life if its in the correct water. We managed to hook and loose one Dorado, not nearly the volume of fish we are looking for. We will start fishing tomorrow. Will report then, Team Supreme

"We fished at Cedros Island and we fished on offshore kelps," said Polaris Supreme skipper Drew Henderson July 28. He'd just ended a five-day Catchy Tackle trip with 24 anglers, and was weighing the catch at the Fisherman's Landing scales.
"We got yellowtail, dorado and some non-biting albacore," he added, "and; wow!" The albacore he hung on the scales pushed the numbers up to 41 pounds even. "That's the best one so far this season," I remarked. Henderson high-fived angler Al Brandenburg, who grinned and brought his fish over to the side for some photos. Brandenburg said he got the big longfin on a sardine and a 2/0 Flyliner hook. He used 30-pound Izorline on a Trinidad 30 reel and a Calstar 700 M rod. He won second place in the jackpot. Harvey Rosen of Benecia bagged a 43.6-pound yellowtail on the dropper loop to win first place. "He fought like a bulldog," said Rosen, who used a sardine on a 4/0 Mustad hook with 60-pound Izorline XXX mono, an Avet 4-2 reel and a Seeker 6460 glass rod to beat his fish in ten minutes. Don Spitzer of Petaluma was third, for a 33.8-pound yellowtail. Chartermaster Wayne Martin hoisted a dorado he said was typical of those encountered on kelps.

Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute with this report. "We are finishing off the 1st day of our 2.5 Day Steve Seaver charter. We had a good day with only 18 passengers. We landed limits of Yellowtail with 28 Bluefin tuna. We got 21 of them in the last 10/15 minutes. It looks like the weather will be nicer tomorrow. It was a little breezy today. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-06-2016 Good Afternoon everyone, Today we departed on our annual Ranta 5 day. We cleared the point at 11 AM, topped off with a load of sardines, headed south in hopes of some nice august exotics. We have a tackle seminar scheduled for later this afternoon followed by chef Mikes world famous Prime Rib dinner. Finger licking good, cant wait! Until tomorrow, Team Supreme

Hello Everyone, Today we had another nice day of fishing. We mainly focused on better quality fish today. We were very selective on the Tuna, Yellowtail, Dorado, Wahoo, Grouper and Pargo we tagged. There was lots of life around today, of all species. With the warm water fish in our holds we are headed up the line to look for bigger grade of Yellowtail. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme
