22 yellowtail 2 dorado. Unable to find a lucky kelp or a school today.

Yesterday night Captain Ryan Bostian called in with a Coronado Islands update. We are probably having the best Yellowtail fishing we have ever seen at the Coronado Islands. Yesterday Captain Taro had a charter with 145 Yellowtail. Two days ago we had 251 Yellowtail. The boat is not sold out we do have spots available You will need a passport. Captain Ryan Bostian checked in at 12:56 PM with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We have been fishing the Coronado Islands for the past few months. The water temps dropped significantly so we fished offshore today. Captain Cameron checked in at 11:15 with 35 Yellowtail. We are hoping the Bluefin make a showing. We got in there and got things done pretty fast this morning.  We docked at 6:30 and were off loaded and on our way to the fuel dock after an hour.  We handled fuel and an oil change and had passengers on the boat by 10:00.  So we got a good jump which allowed us extra time and the bait receivers to search through our options to ensure we had the best bait available.  We took what we call firecracker sardine.  A mix of mostly 4-6 inch sardine.  It didn't look so hot going in but it's seems to be getting the hang of living in our wells now.

 It didn't take long before we were arriving to the fishing grounds.  We found a few schools before dark and scratched out 20 something tuna before dark.  We're going to drift here tonight and start off here in the morning.
      

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 10-24-2019 We had another log jam today on the kelp patties. Another great day of fishing Wahoo and what a beautiful grade of fish! Some real beauties in their. They look more like alligators than Wahoo. They definitely act like alligators when you hook one. We also had a good hit on the yellowfin tuna again this afternoon. The grade of fish was more like 20 to 45 it wasn't all 45 pounders. But still a good grade of fish! Were finished up in the lower zone here and need to start working north. Stayed late today so we will probably only have a few hours of fishing tomorrow if any looking for some yellowtail up the coast. Weather is still epic. We also spent about a half hour today catching and releasing beautiful grade Dorado. We didn't keep any! Will check in with you tomorrow on our way home after a short try for yellowtail. The San Diego checked in tonight with an update from Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Captain Cameron Cribben ran the boat today! We had 31 anglers and caught 56 Bluefin Tuna and 91 Yellowtail. Today was a big day and it looks like the fish are back on the bite.

44 pass. 101 yellowfin Tuna 2 bluefin tuna. Being prepared with different line sizes and hook sizes is very important when targeting the highly pressured local yellowfin tuna. These fish have many different modes and aggression levels. Listen to the crew and be willing to adapt and learn. No Passports required. We are sold out thru Sunday at this point.
