Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-05-2016 Hello Supreme Fans. Our day started off Early in the gray light, but with much bigger fish around the boat. Some of the bluefin tuna we saw blowing out were well over 150 pounds! We had our fair share of hook ups and heart breaks throughout the day most of the time we had 3 to 4 fish going. Rob Gledhill had one on close to 3 hours only for it to gain it's freedom right next to the boat! Gary Jones was one of the lucky ones. After a long hard battle he lands one that taped out at 91 pounds! We have really gotten worked over the last two days on this big fish. It is really hard to hook them on anything heavier than 50 pound test, you fight them for long battles and then after a half an hour to two hours you lose it and have to start all over again. We are definitely getting our butts kicked. It's really some fun fishing, the catching could be a little bit better. Wish us luck as we plan to do battle again tomorrow with the mighty mean bluefin tuna. The Supreme Team!

Captain Mike Pritchard called in this afternoon with an update from the Tribute. We are having very good Yellowfin Tuna just South of San Clemente Island. There is a mix of Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack, and Dorado. We have 180 Yellowfin Tuna and they are biting on everything. Good morning Everyone, Our annual Heil charter has come, the longest running charter on Polaris Supreme. We are very happy top welcome aboard this group of anglers. Ron Heil has been keeping his father's charter going for years with a good core group of anglers. We are exited to have these guys aboard as well as some new faces. Spirits are high, and we're all very hopeful for the next 5 days. Team Supreme

~~Trip Update 08.12.2015

 Good evening friends.  Today was our final day to get some lines in the water. After last night, we weren't sure what kind of time we were going to have to fish. It was a tiny bit bumpy to say the least.  Well, it wouldn't be a long range trip without a little bit of choppy seas, at least it wasn't til the last night of the trip. All and all, we had great weather during all of of our fishing time.  We did however make it to where we wanted to be about 1030 am and kicked the anchor over the side to use up hat bit we had left.  It actually turned out to be a pretty bust late morning. Not long after we dropped the pick, the yellows came up showing their presence right away. If you wanted your fix on tails for the trip, this morning was the time.  It was still tthat great 16-22 lb grade that we saw down south. Not at all a great wway to end a pretty darn good trip.   It got to be time to point her toward San Diego and get everyone home to see their families. Time to break down the tackle, scrub the boat and finish the trip with all of the fishing stories that have happened over the last 5 days.

 The boat will be docking Thursday morning at 6 am to offload and head back out on Ron Heils annual 5 day trip with Drew at the helm. "we're wrapping up our 1.5 Day trip," said Mike Pritchard from the Tribute. "We made the run down here 130 miles and we had very good fishing. We got limits of Yellowtail, 60 Yellowfin tuna, 35 Dorado & 10 Bluefin tuna. It was fun fishing, a lot of the fish were caught on surface irons.We had very nice weather with a slight breeze ths afternoon.

"We leave on a 1 Day tomorrow afternoon, Sept. 26th. There is still room so if you want to go call Seaforth Sportfishing at 619-224-3383."

Jodie called in to let us know that the Berkeley 1 Day Trip is a go. It will leave tomorrow night at 9:00 PM.
