Hi friends. Different day for us here on the Supreme. After thumping and bumping our way up the line last night, we were pleasantly surprised to find decent weather when we put the lines in the water. Our weather just got progressively better and better throughout the day. Super good feelings about that, especially after yesterdays beating. Anyhow, the Bluefin tuna cooperated for us this morning and we produced on multiple drifts all the way until after lunch. The grade of fish was dandy; a lot of 25-40 pounders with a few bigger and few smaller in the mix, but for the most part, it was a nice quality of tuna that the gang threw aboard today and we deserved it.

Although we would've liked more to make up for yesterday, we're happy that the gang had some action and we're happy with the quality. We're also happy with Chef Schoolers Fillet Oscar that we haven't had in a few weeks. With that, we've put a bow on this 3-day adventure and are currently en route back to San Diego. Our ETA is looking like around 06:30 hours tomorrow. The boat turns around for Mr. Eric Roggers 5-day party cruise. Look for Captain Drew to man the helm and the keyboard. Take care, y'all.

Hello Everyone, Today was the ultimate tackle day. We spent the day preparing all our gear for the following days to come. Spooling up reels, wiring up bait leaders, bombs, and marauders for Wahoo. It was a nice day rolling down to take care off all of these things. Tomorrow we will start fishing. We have the opportunity for Yellowfin tuna, Wahoo, and Yellowtail all in the same spot! A great chance for some good variety! Wish us luck, Team Supreme

I have yet one more opportunity for someone to jump on with us on a great charter. This trip is a 2-day trip fishing Thurs. and Fri. June 19-20. This is a very light charter and only fishes with 12 or 15 people. If you are able to go, you might find yourself becoming a permanent part of a very special charter on a regular basis. Capt Mike Pritchard called in a trip announcement for tonight aboard the Tribute, we have a trip leaving tonight targeting Yellowtail, Rockfish and Lingcod. Mother Nature was kind to us today as we landed 164 yellowfin and 1 bluefin off of a 5 hr drift. Same tackle, a 20 lb bait rod and a 30 or 40 lb bait rod. Size 4 and 2 hooks.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-27-2016 Thanks again for checking in. We arrived nice and early to the tuna grounds to get ourselves in the best position for the days work. Shortly after first light we decided where we wanted to get things going. It started off quite slow as the conditions weren't just right. We lacked current which is not favorable to catching fish so it became a little bit of a waiting game. That gave Chef Mike his time to get breakfast out of the way. Not too long after we got mobile and did some looking around and finally started checking out some different schools and began scratching away at a few bluefin. They were in the 18 lb class which is not bad at all. As the day progressed, we found the spot that looked the best and posted up, getting a solid chum line going, got the balloons out and settled in. The fish slowly started popping up with some bluefin in the 70 lb class hitting the deck as well as Marilyn landing her first ever balloon fish and first yellowfin at about 70 lbs. Congrats on that one!! The rest of the afternoon was a steady pick on that beautiful grade of tuna. You couldn't ask for a better way to end a 3 day trip. As soon as we landed our last 2 nice bluefin, one being Theresa's 75 lb "dream fish", it was time to pack it up and head home for San Diego. Us here on the Polaris Supreme would like to say thanks to Charter Head Bev Seltzer and her team of ladies and gentlemen for joining us this year and looking forward to seeing them next year on the 2nd annual Sadie Hawkins 3 day Charter. Captain Ryan Bostian called in this afternoon at 3:30 PM with an audio update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we fished at the Coronado Islands and had very good action. Our 28 anglers caught 140 Yellowtail, 50 Big Barracuda and 20 to 30 Bonito. They were biting really well on the fly-lined sardines and surface iron.
