kayak Fishing Report 2025

Captain Ryan Bostian just called in with an update from The San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we had 33 Yellowtail (18 to 31 pounds) for 48 anglers. They fish were biting good in the morning on YoYo Iron. Then in the afternoon the surface action picked up. We are seeing lots of fish and things are looking good for the Coronado Islands. The 3M private charter experienced both ends of the spectrum of tuna behavior. Many non biting schools made our mid-day aggressive school very special.

Good morning everyone, Today we fished our final day of our Bogart 2 day trip. It was a day of grinding it out in the Bluefin Tuna grounds. There was a lot of tuna around it was just very finicky and we had trouble getting it to bite. We were able to land one tuna for the entire day. What saved our bacon was the yellowtail fishing. We fished yellows the second half of the day for great quality yellows! Biggest being 48lbs! We are in tomorrow early at 5 am, and out for seven! Wish us luck, Team supreme

Hooked 10, but they are mean and like to destroy your gear. Ended with 4 Bluefin all around #70 pounds for our 5 anglers. 

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-15-2016 Today was pretty much just a travel day we rolled up the line in Socko fog this morning and spent the afternoon catching a little bit of table fare in the form of reds and lingcod. Our weather has been great until this afternoon and just in time for dinner we have bumpy jerky weather! Tomorrow morning we will be into the dock unloading a nice catch of yellowtail and some fine halibut! In completing another 5 day Heil charter. We would like to thank Ron for carrying on the tradition his dad started some 35+ years ago. And also thank all of you anglers for joining us and hanging in there on what was a long run to get into some good fishing! Today we will be taking out the let's talk hookup four-day charter! We unfortunately won't be able to make the long run we did this trip. We're going to have to get creative locally! Also on another side note cub you keep asking me about Wahoo fishing and no don't bring your gear for Wahoo water is getting cold everywhere. You need to go on a 7 to 10 day trip and of in the fall. Good Morning everyone, Today we departed on our Simpatico 6 day charter. We hustled and had a nice early start to our trip. We decided to start fishing kelp patties for Dorado and Yellowfin. We found a school of Dorado that bit extremely well. They were a bit on the small side, but the action was RED HOT none the less. Tomorrow we are hoping for Tuna. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Good morning everyone, We got a great early start on our Simpatico five day trip. Our intentions were to have an opportunity to catch some of these larger local Bluefin Tuna. However the action slowed and it did not pencil out as we hoped. There is some pretty bad weather rolling up today and is supposed to be here tomorrow. We are probably going to try some inshore fishing somewhere tomorrow to stay clear of the weather and pull on some fish at the same time. Wish us luck, Team Supreme
