jensen beach Fishing Report 2024

Viva variety! We started the day off with some excellent Yellowtail fishing. Mixed grade fish from 8 lbs to 35 lbs. The majority was released but we were able to pull some nice grade fish aboard. Weather is great and conditions are good down here. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Our private charter went the distance today. They were rewarded with 31 yellowfin 22 dorado 66 yellowtail 46 skipjack.

Jody called in with this report for the Apollo out of Santa Barbara, "We are having some excellent Rockcod and Lingcod fishing. We ended up with limits of Rockfish today and 19 Lingcod for 20 Anglers.

Good evening everyone, Today we started off the day in kelp land. Finding many nice kelps along a nice water color break. One in particular held a slew of different game fish. Dorado, Wahoo, Yellowtail, and Tuna. Most of them where on the small side, but it was still great fun catching such a variety of fish. Later on we were able to slide inside and finish off the day with some coastal Yellowtail. It was great ending the day with a nice hit on the Yellowtail. Biting the iron very well, adding to the fall 10 day variety pack. We are pointed north at the moment trying to cover some ground to make it in on time Wednesday morning. The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

32 yellowtail. Still good sign of yellowtail around but they definitely felt used and abused after the busy weekend. Back at it tomorrow hoping for an attitude adjustment.

The fish were a little off today. We hit schools all day and just never got the right one to bite. Scott released a 185 lb. and a 100 pounder. Al released a 115 lb., 170 lb., and a 190 lb. tuna. Roger released a 120 lb. and kept a 220 lb. tuna. Tom released a 190 pounder. And George released a 100 lb., a 115 lb., and a 140 pounder. Weather is still beautiful. Lunch was pastrami and swiss on rye and a clam shell pasta. Dinner New York steaks. Hors d'oeuvres were sashimi and sushi. Hopefully all this fish we saw today bites a little better tomorrow.

44 pass. 101 yellowfin Tuna 2 bluefin tuna. Being prepared with different line sizes and hook sizes is very important when targeting the highly pressured local yellowfin tuna. The Bluefin started biting before sunrise and like a broken record, more than their share got away, we went 10 for about 25 on the 45-55 pound Bluefin, the hot ticket being the flatfall. After sunrise, the plump Yellowfin bit for several hours, being caught primarily on flylined 20 pound.
