January 22, 2025 hoover dam Fishing Report

Hello Everyone, Today we targeted yellowtail.Unfortunately there was no current. The lack of current made fishing difficult. We did manage to pick off a couple of Yellowfin tuna and a few Dorado. In addition to that we caught some nice Lingcod and Rockfish in the meantime. We will spend our last day trying for that school grade bluefin. Wish us luck! Team Supreme

January 20, 2025 hoover dam Fishing Report

Spent most of day searching for yellowtail in extremely clean water and very strong current. Our search for gamefish came up empty but our 50 passengers enjoyed some fine shallow water bottom fishing. We ended up with 150 Whitefish, 50 Rockfish, 30 Sculpin, 10 Sheephead, and 10 Bonito. The Tribute out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA checked in with us today.

33 Yellowfin and 3 Bluefin for our 26 Angler’s today. Lots of action from 1100 on, but these bigger Yellowfin did their fair share of damage to the lighter gear.

YELLOWTAIL ARE BITING!!! SAN DIEGO on a 3/4 day trip scored 48 yellowtail along with 41 Sand Bass,18 Barracuda & 2 Calico. PACIFIC VOYAGER from a 2-day trip sacked 131 Yellowtail, 17 Sand Bass & 15 Barracuda. NEW SEAFORTH on half day trips took in 7 Yellowtail, 123 Baracuda, 3 Halibut along with some Bass, Sculpin & Rockfish. Twilight trips still getting some giant Squids. Fishing was a little tough off shore today. There was yellowfin for everyone and we got a few dorado on kelp, but not the big hits like we have been getting. Fished the island with very little signs and only a handful of yellowtail. Tomorrow we will be looking around the island. Weather is decent, and looks like it will be getting better tomorrow. Captain Tucker McCombs called in this afternoon with a wrap-up from the Endeavor out of Hook's Landing in Oxnard, CA. We had limits of Seabass today in the 15 to 25 pound class. The fish were biting pretty good today. We are booked up throughout the weekend but we have plenty of room next week.
