Captain Ryan Bostian checked in from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. Today Cameron Cribben drove the boat and we had 24 passengers catch 11 Bluefin (25 to 60 pounds) plus 20 Bonito. This time of year conditions are changing fast and we need to be prepared for multiple types of gamefish. This afternoon some bluefin tuna moved into the yellowtail grounds. The Polaris Supreme is out on a 1 1/2 day trip. ( 9/27) I spoke with Drew at 2:30 and he had just had a kelp for limits of yellowfin and dorado and is now looking for bluefin. Weather is great and he will be posting an end of the day report on the web-site.

Our full day trip was turned into a 1/2 day trip due to rough seas. We did however get a couple of good shots and ended with 28 yellowtail. Looking forward to spending an entire day on the grounds tomorrow.

Capt Ryan checked in from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing to give us a report from todays 3/4 day trip, we fished the Corondo Islands today for 59 Yellowtail. Fishing seems like it has been good for the last year, we have a shot everyday fro some good fishing. We do have some down days as yesterday we only got 26 Yellowtail, we are finding plenty of schools with fish ranging from 10 to 30 lbs. When you come down make sure and bring a flyline rig, a yoyo rig and a surface iron setup. We have had some recent success recently with some days of getting up to 80+ Yellowtail. The fish are starting to rebound, so come on down and get in on the action. We depart everyday at 5:30 am, come on down and see us.

Capt Ryan Bostain checked in from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing, we went out with 43 anglers today and ended the day with 120 Yellowtail. Today they were from 12 to 28 lbs, with an average around 15 lbs, today they bit mostly on the surface with either a flylined bait or surface iron. We did also manage to get some on the yoyo jig, the ocean is alive down there. Come on down and get you some, make sure you bring a rig for every occasion. See you on the boat.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an audio update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. Today we had every intention of fishing for Yellowtail. We checked our usual spots and could not find any fish. The water rolled at the Coronado Islands. So we headed West and we ran into Bluefin Tuna. We say large schools of tuna in the 50 to 100 pound range.

We ended up catching 6 of these trophies (up to 65 pounds). They were biting on 40 pound fly-lined sardines. You might also get lucky on surface iron or popper action. We are going to be running Bluefin Tuna trips. There have been some fish caught up to 245 pounds this year.

Captian Ryan Bostian checked in this evening with an update form the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. Today we had 38 anglers catch 28 Yellowtail. The grounds were a little crowded today. Bring a yo-yo rod, a 20 or 25 lb. bait rod. If you are a surface iron fishermen there has been plenty of opportunities.
