gulf shores Fishing Report 2025

As the temps drop, we are finding the bottom biters are biting at our local spots. Lingcod and Reds with a mix of other great tasting fish. We have been seeing Yellowtail on a daily basis as well. 

7 Yellowfin Tuna 169 Skipjack Tuna.  Weather is forecasted to be very nice this week.  Don’t be part of the “day after” crowd.  We still have plenty of good fishing ahead of us.

Captain Mike Pritchard called in with a FINAL Wrapup! We found a kelp on the way back in with a bonus 25 yellowtail. We did find catch 30 Yellowfin Tuna under a school of Dolphin. Is it wrong to be long? Not for our angler Mike Cohen! In a game of inches he was able to land the longest Wahoo of the day. The prize for his capture is a brand new Diawa Saltiga HA. Great job Mike! We would like to thank Diawa for their generous donation this trip. As well as BD Outdoors and Performance Tackle for all they contributed to make this trip a fun filled seven days! The prizes are great and the company is fantastic! Cant ask for much more!

Today was a nice mixed day. The day started off with 3 Tuna hungry Grouper on the big gear! they wanted the rocks bad, but our anglers wanted them more! Later we were able to catch some Wahoo and bigger Dorado on Kelps. A well rounded quality day down south. We are looking forward to what tomorrow brings, Team Supreme

 Remember yesterday when I said we would find our dorado kelp?  Well we conquered that quest.  I tell no lies.  An hour or so after breakfast, maybe 2, we found a kelp loaded and we went to battle and overall I think we won.  I mean we caught exactly what we wanted.  Beautiful mahi mahi.  After that we went back to travel mode and we'll be arriving to our slip in San Diego tomorrow at 0800 hours.  We ate some of that mahi for dinner tonight while we watched a slide show of all the pictures taken this trip presented to us by Tommy.  Everyone misses there wives and they all told me, "Drew, I couldn't spend another minute without my wife".  That's why this trip was 15 days.  It's the maximum amount of time we can spend without our wives.

 So we tie up tomorrow and that's the way we'll stay until November 9th, when we'll be departing on a 10 day trip.  So until then, I'd just like to say how much I'll miss writing to you all.  Stay classy and thanks for stopping by, but mostly, stay classy.
         

Wow! What a fish. #214 Bluefin. Landed in less than an hour. Accurate Valiant 1000 and Shimano Rail Rod on #100. Dead Flyer. Had a few Yellowtail and a Yellowfin as well.
