Capt Ray is out today with 30 anglers. Hopefully we can keep our yellowtail streak alive. The weather is forecasted to be very nice this week. Come join us !

Capt Ryan Bostain called in from the San Diego the 3/4 day boat out of Seaforth Sportfishing, he said the last couple days were offshore and the fishing was on the slow side. But the good news is that they are back on the fish today, they just called in and said they have over 100 Yellowfin Tuna on the deck so far. We are fishing in US waters, so if you come down bring your California fishing license with you. We are fishing everyday looking for Bluefin, Yellowfin, Yellowtail and Dorado, the boat leaves everyday at 5:30 am and returns at 5 pm. Bring your flyline, popper and jig gear with you and come on out and have some fun.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-23 to 25-2019 We arrive this morning from our three day trip. We left last Sunday with very high expectations. Only to get them crushed over the next three days. There had been a week straight of fantastic yellowfin tuna and bluefin tuna fishing. It all came tumbling down on Sunday. We definitely hit things on the backside at the very bottom of the bell curve. We managed to scratch up a few nice tuna after getting an early start out on Sunday but all the big hits came that morning. Monday we were able to find one school of good grade yellowfin tuna that stayed with us a while that gave us hopes for the rest of the day being good fishing. It didn't turn out that way though we only picked up another handful of fish throughout of long day of searching. Tuesday we had plenty of action but it was mostly on skipjack in the morning with a mix of smaller grade yellowfin tuna. We hammered out the day until dark with not much luck. As we all know It makes a huge difference on timing when you get out to the fishing grounds we just missed it by a few days. We had a great group of anglers that stuck with us Trying hard all throughout the three days. The San Diego fisnihed with 63 yellowtail and few other odds and ends. A few quick opportunities today.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this afternoon with an update from “The San Diego,”    We have a Coronado Islands trip that is a for sure go.  We only have 4 anglers so the light is load.

Hello Everyone, We just wrapped up our open two day trip. Local fishing has been really tough and was no exception on this trip. We hustled, got the boat ready and departed from San Diego quickly, so we could maximize our fishing time on this two day adventure. Although we got on the grounds very quickly and were fishing fast, it still was tough. There was a lot of searching, scouring, and moving around to try and find some action. Our persistence eventually paid off when we found a couple kelp pattys with some great Yellowtail fishing. It was wall to wall action. Just what the doctor ordered. Everyone had a chance to pull on fish and get introduced to the chaos that is offshore kelp patty fishing. Through the intense action we also managed to land a beautiful Dorado, that would later take jackpot. A very trying couple of days, however we did manage to piece together some great action for our anglers. Looking forward to next year! We depart on our Emerson and friends 5 day next!  We are implementing a new satellite buoy tracking system to better assist us with re finding productive kelp patties and other floating debris that may hold fish!

Skipper Drew Henderson docked the Polaris Supreme June 17 after a five-day trip to the mid-Baja islands, on the Pacific side, of course.

"It was windy until the day we came home," he remarked. His 18 anglers managed a good catch of yellowtail and rockfish, however.

George Farnsworth of Kenwood won first place for a 27.6-pound yellowtail. He said it bit on a sardine pin ned to a 3/0 Gamakatsu hook. He used 30-pound Yo-Zuri line on a Saltiga 30 reel and a Calstar 870 M rod to beat the fish in 12 minutes.

"We had a great crew," he stated. "And that made a great trip."

Regular long ranger Joe Beck of San Pedro won second place, for a 27-pound yellow. Michael Robbins of Santa Cruz, one of three generations of family members on the trip, won third place, for a 25.4-pound yellowtail.
