During these later trips the Tuna definitely got bigger. In addition the sharks have been non existent! Love those conditions!

We started fishing in the dark and went full speed all day long on beautiful grade tuna 30-40 lbs. with several in the 80-120 lb. class being caught on the kite. We had several heart breakers with the sharks eating some of the big ones. The day was spiced up with a handful of wahoo. Our weather is absolutely gorgeous. Flat calm heavy overcast. We had a great day and are excited to try it again tomorrow. Thanks, Tommy and crew

Looks like we're going to have a light load for tomorrow's trip. I just talked to a boat out on the ocean right now and they said the weather is good. The large swell is very spread out making the ocean conditions nice. Myself and the crew will be heading out tonight for live squid. Call Seaforth at 619-224-3383 for reservations !

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-31-2016 We were all over the place yesterday we started off in the morning fishing yellowtail at one island with massive spots of bait and birds that were sitting on the water doing nothing with no signs of yellowtail. That didn't last long before we moved to another island for similar results basically no catching. After that we took off offshore and had a little bit of success on kelp's with Dorado and Yellowtail and that wound up our day! Throughout the day of we obviously had in mind catching yellowtail at one of the locations we frequented but in the back of our mind was our destination for tomorrow the local yellowtail kelp patty fishing grounds where the guys are just sleighing them! We got some beautiful weather and will be there tomorrow wish us luck. The Polaris supreme crew

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-06-2019 The Polaris supreme departed today on Bill Stephens annual eight day trip. We got a nice early start and are hoping to arrive at our final destination in a few days bright and early. We have a great group of guys/and one girl heading south excited about the signs that Alec saw last trip on the simpatico trip. No pictures yet will save that for when we start catching something. San Diego Anglers private charter wanted taco meat, so we put the yellowtail fishing on the back burner. We enjoyed the day and caught limits of calico bass 112 vermillion rockfish 13 barracuda. Back on the yellowtail hunt tomorrow.

The Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA returned from a 2.5 day Pelagic sponsored trip on September 2nd.
