Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-11-2016 Hello Everyone, Today we departed on our annual Ron Heil 5 day. The longest running charter on the Polaris Supreme! We are excited and proud to keep the tradition going. We cleared the point today at 1 pm headed south in search of fish willing and eager to bite. We will be in the zone tomorrow. Hi friends. Our first day of the Garry Roberts 9-day adventure found us conveniently traveling right through the Bluefin/Yellowfin zone first thing this morning, so we decided to give it a try for a few hours and then we would continue on with our southerly travels. We managed to troll up a few Yellowfin and we also found a couple spots of 12-18 lb. Bluefin that bit quite well for a short time. After tagging some fish and capturing a handful for the galley guys to sashimi up, we continued on with our journey down to greater points south. A nice warm-up for the guys and a nice break in the long travel days on 9-day tripsthat usually go without even wetting a line for a couple of days. The gang appreciated it very much and were stoked with the outcome of some fresh sashimi for the next few days.

After the fishing was all said and done, we gathered everyone into the galley for our tackle seminar. Another thing fishing this morning was good for was to get a gauge on whether or not the gang remembered the fishing procedures we employ here on the Polaris Supreme. To say they passed with flying colors is an understatement but we called the troops into the galley for the seminar anyways and with one look around the tables and salon area, it was apparent that an in-depth seminar was not needed not only because all of the passengers are on this very trip year after year but because half of the anglers began taking full advantage of the seminar with a good nap. All of the passengers on-board are Polaris Supreme veterans of many years, and I mean all of the passengers. These guys know what's up so we made quick work of the seminar and began the tackle rigging, eating, watching movies, reading, various maintenance projects, and napping. Awesome traveling weather made for a relaxing, laid back day of preparation and last minute check-ups.

As for tomorrow, we'll be offshore looking at some interesting looking water temperature breaks for kelp paddies, porpoise, breezers, and any other signs of life holding Yellowfin, Wahoo, Dorado, and Yellowtail. The weather forecast looks good and we're excited about the prospects of tomorrow. Wish us luck and we'll report back to you tomorrow.

P.S. Layni - Your Dad either can't find the package, left it in Timmy's car, left it in his truck, or just forgot to pack it. Kind of bummed. Anyhow, we just wanted to say hi that gang misses you.

The old timers used to say “ wind from the south, fish close their mouth”. Today we had a brisk south wind all day and the yellowtail were a bit off. We saw plenty of fish and managed to land 83. Flylined baits and yo-yo jigs were the best today.

The water at the Coronado Islands has gotten cold and dirty. We have spent the last 2 days enjoying some excellent bottom fishing in 200-400 ft of water. We are keeping tabs on everything in our range. For all you bottom fishing lovers. Come out soon. Conditions are changing fast and as soon as we feel there is a good chance of consistently catching gamefish. The rockfish will go on the back burner again.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-12-2016 #2 Hello anglers good afternoon we ended up going offshore hunting kelp patties down with pretty good success we had 32 mix fish yellowfin tuna nice size yellowtail and Dorado. Overall a very successful afternoon and a successful day. The weathers great were rolling up the line and will be in the dock tomorrow morning bright and early. We would like to thank All the Guy's, Billy Stephens and all the Emerson group for coming out and joining us fishing on what was a fun fun five day and a fantastic group of guys. Thanks for tuning in the Polaris Supreme crew.

Happy independence day! guys! We finished our day yesterday by continuing to pick away at those larger size yellowtail. Almost all of our anglers ended up with at least one yellowtail and we even had a hand-full of anglers who managed to catch their limit of those larger sized fish. As I'm writing this report, I am seeing quite a few small schools of yellows on the sonar. We are eager to find out what today has in stock for us! Happy Independence Day, Team Supreme

1 bluefin tuna 97 yellowtail. The consistency of the Coronado Islands this year is truly amazing. Bait, yo yo and surface iron are all producing.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-18-2016 Hello Everyone, Today we had a fantastic day of offshore fishing! We got on a school of big yellowfin that bit all day! The best part was the grade, an average of 50 to 80 lb fish! Amazing to have such good size biting fish in striking range from San Diego in California waters. We had a blast today bringing these fish aboard. Many people finished the day with their personal best tuna in the hold! The hot ticket was a good fresh flylined bait, and in the afternoon we hit our stride with balloon fishing. The balloon was deadly during the latter part of the afternoon. We are excited to get back at it and try again tomorrow morning. Wish us luck! Tight lines, Team Supreme
