Captain Aliyar Nabi called in this morning with a wrap up report from the Pacifica out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. We just got back this morning from our 1.5 day trip. The Bluefin Tuna fishing continues to be excellent. We ended up with 52 Bluefin Tuna for our 26 anglers. We had some really nice fish between 150 and 190 pounds. We also caught some in the 12 to 45 pound range. The flat fall fishing at night produced 40 fish.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in this morning. We are operating 3/4 day trips everyday out of Seaforth Landing. The fishing at the Coronado Islands have been good for Yellowtail. We have also seen Wahoo at the Islands. A passport is required for all reservations for fishing at the Coronado Islands. Fresh and Fast! Recently we have been doing a lot of quick turnarounds to try and maximize fishing time for our clients. Recently we had a beautiful 200 lb Bluefin Tuna donated to the boat. Thanks to Sean and the people of Fishermans Processing we were able to have the Tuna filleted, packaged, and returned to the the boat in time for an early departure. Because of this our passengers were able to enjoy fresh Bluefin Tuna sushi on our way down the following trip. Thank YOU for going the extra mile for us so WE could go the extra mile for our customers!

The Apollo called in earlier. They have just started on their 5 day trip. They have 11 Albacore for their 9 guys. Nice Job, JJ!

Polaris Supreme Update 08-02-2012

 

Hi Anglers. I'd just like to start by thanking our Polaris Supreme passengers on the last trip. You did a fantastic job and the crew enjoyed fishing with all of you. Even you Byler. Congrats to Mr. Myles for taking first place in the jackpot with his 39 pound bluefin tuna. Also want to give a shout out to a Mr. Jack and Mark for staying close behind taking second and third places with a yellowfin and another bluefin. I better see all of you next year.

 

After doing our normal arrive depart chores of offloading fish and passengers, scrubbing the boat, fueling the boat, loading groceries and the new passengers we were off again.

We departed on Tom Chaparros 14th annual charter. This year he turned it into a 6 day. We got our bait and now we are underway. We will do the norm here this afternoon. A lot of rigging up tackle, napping, reading and just hanging out enjoying the day. We have high hopes in the offshore tuna grounds tomorrow so check back and I'm sure we will have a good report.

Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "The fishing has started off well this morning. So far we have 20 Bluefin and a handful of Skipjack. Weather conditions are good, hopefully the good fishing will continue. We'll keep you posted."

From 8:00 am till 4:00 pm we were either stopped on bluefin or driving towards jumping bluefin. When we pumped out the RSW we had 17 bluefin and 2 yellowtail. Flylined sardines on 25-40 lb with a size 2-2/0 bait hook was the top producer.
