Myself and the crew would like to thank everyone who joined us for this past season. 2016 will forever be remembered as one of the most unique years. From huge schools of non biting yellowfin tuna to foamers of big bluefin that enjoyed eating surface poppers. This season proves that none of us know anything about the ocean. We will shut down for a month or so to handle our annual maintenance. We look forward to fishing with everyone again in 2017.

Hello everyone, Today we wanted a Yellowtail topper, and a yellowtail topper we got! By no means wide open, but enough yellows to keep everyone busy for a half a day. The hot ticket was the famed blue and white 6x yo yo iron, tried and true for years and still holding strong today. All and all a nice day of yellowtail fishing to round out a great fall 7 day variety trip. It was really something catching Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Dorado, and Yellowtail all in one trip! Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, so after our great Yellowtail topper we pointed the boat northbound to San Diego. We are very far from home so we have another day of travel ahead of us tomorrow Another successful trip logged away here aboard Polaris Supreme! Will report again tomorrow, The Supreme Team. Captain Ryan of The San Diego checked in with a trip report for today.  57 Bluefin(15-60lbs) 14 Yellowfin (15-30lbs). About as good as it gets local Bluefin fishing. A 30-50lb bait rod was all you needed today.

Polaris Supreme Report 07-25-2016 Hey everyone, Another beautiful day out here on the offshore waters of northern Baja. Today we searched for kelp patties, breeezers, and bird schools. We did very well finding kelp, however it just doesn't seem that the large volume of fish has moved in on them yet. Hopefully soon! Later in the afternoon we found a nice temp break that lead some exotic Dorado and Yellowtail, even a Sea Turtle popped got in on the action. The yellows were large and healthy, and the Dorado were a welcome sight and hopefully a good precursor to the warm water fish months ahead. Tomorrow we will be fishing for big yellowtail and maybe a seabass or two Wish us luck! Team Supreme

 Good morning to you all from over here on the Polaris Supreme. As I write this I'm on watch at 2:40 in the am. We arrived from our 4 day "Let's Talk Hook Up" trip this morning and as soon as the RP was out of our way we off loaded a beautiful catch of yellowfin and 30-40 pound Bluefin. Jackpots went 96, 68, and 43 I think it was. Close enough. We did a super fast turn around. We smoked team galley that's for sure. Things at the bait receivers went well and we were back at it again yellowfinin it. It wasn't some crazy start like it had been lately but judging by some of the counts we were hearing we were very happy with what we got. We got spoiled these last few days with the power counts out here that when things got back to normal, which is still good, it seems slow. We ended up with a couple rounds of mostly the upper grade of yft and we're currently drifting in lovely sea conditions and we're ready to go at it again tomorrow.

 Tommy is back out here with us so in a way, it's like having a trip off. I'm not stuck here in the wheel house all day thinking of my next move. I spend lots of time down hanging with the customers and being a goof ball with Mark. I love running the boat but like I said, sometimes it's nice not to have to think so much out here. Hi friends. Mother Nature is lovin' us right about now. She's given us an absolutely gorgeous ride as we make our final approach to home. It's not quite soft butter but it's a notch away from that. Word to your mama - Mama Nature. Anywho, we finished detailing out the engine room machinery and we can eat off of the floor of our heads (bathrooms); so what do we do now? Well, Drew fired up a cigar, took his shirt off and took a nap on the freezer, Jed, Gunny, Mark, Shawn and I started a poker tournament that Shawn ended up winning, and we basically just kicked it the rest of the day.

With that, it's time for another installment of "Polaris Supreme Movie Reviews!" "The Dark Knight Rises" was sick. "The Paperboy" was weird, but good. John Cusack is real creepy in that one. "Deadfall" was terrible. Not even Olivia Wilde could save that one, and last but not least, "That's My Boy" was quite possibly the best and worst movie I've ever seen. Probably the latter but there were some funny parts.

So that is all. Jeff unknowingly donated his Ipod for us to use as we keep on keepin' on up the line and we are just straight kickin' it. More good news, we've gained .5 knots! As of now, our ETA to Customs is sometime between 10:00 and 11:00 hours. If we weren't running so late and had some bait, I would've stopped on that breezer I just saw. Bluefin? Interesting (Not 15 minutes after typing this up, we saw another, up high and dry and we saw some big backs.) Anyhow, after arrival to Fisherman's Landing tomorrow, we'll be shutting the Supreme down for a month so the staff can celebrate Drew and Kristin's wedding reception and have plenty of time to recover. We're all pretty pumped for it, especially little Hard Hat Boy.

Mark has been working on his "dance" moves and I've given up all hope to try and help him. Picture this: I had Ke$ha's "Die Young" going and I'm pretty sure that he looked like a man riding an invisible mechanical bull--in slow-motion--with Tom's "Shark Shield" attached to it. That's right, he looked like a man riding a transparent bar bull in slow-motion while the said bull had electricity pulsating through it. Like I said, I had to quit helping to get him right and just sit back and watch Mark express himself through the art of "dance". It's going to be awesome!

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-08-2019 What a sweet ride down we've had beautiful weather! Made good speed and had a nice early arrival this morning into the fishing grounds. Fishing started off tough. Actually it was brutal! You would catch and release 30 skipjack just to catch one keeper yellowfin tuna. We would catch a Wahoo here and there to spice things up but it just wasn't working. Finally after 10 hours of get in all jacked up, AKA skipjack, Things started going our way. It was like somebody flipped a switch! For the next four hours we had a very consistent bite on quality yellowfin tuna ,right into the dark. Our weather stayed great all day and were going to try our luck here again tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!
