bow river Fishing Report 2025

Captain Ryan Bostian called in from the San Diego tonight with an update. We had 16 LIMITS of Yellowtail (80). Most of the fish were caught on YoYo Jig but we did catch fish on the surface iron and using bait. The San Diego will be fishing the Coronado Islands for Yellowtail daily. We are headed south at the moment. Today will consist of mainly rigging and prepping. Primarily for Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo. We are looking for kelps today to keep them honest but our main focus is on making good speed for tomorrow.

Hello everyone, Today we were traveling up the line and looking for kelps. We found one kelp that was loaded with Yellowfin Tuna and Dorado. It was as good as it gets, like an aquarium in the water. We fished until everyone was content with the number of fish they tagged. Fishing was so good they were eating the trolling lures bring dipped in the water. Very fun to say the least. We may have some time to fish tomorrow for a little bit depending on our speed. Will Report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-06-2019 The Polaris supreme departed today on Bill Stephens annual eight day trip. We got a nice early start and are hoping to arrive at our final destination in a few days bright and early. We have a great group of guys/and one girl heading south excited about the signs that Alec saw last trip on the simpatico trip. No pictures yet will save that for when we start catching something. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-12-2016 Good afternoon guys and gals, Polaris Supreme checking in. We arrived to the spot early this morning and the big yellowtail started biting right off the bat! We were catching them on fly line baits and surface irons primarily. It was exciting to watch these fish swim up to the surface irons and bashed them out of the water. At times LB, the charger master's son, could not go two casts without getting followed or bit on the surface iron. We had a steady 2 to 3 fish going, at times more, until about 9am. We were still hooking fish but we got word from one of our code boats that there is some pretty good yellowfin tuna fishing going on within our reach. So we have now decided to go on the hunt for yellowfin tuna. We have good weather for it! Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Had to cover some water, but mid morning the ocean came alive with feeding Bluefin everywhere. We caught 5 and a nice yellowtail. 

Hello everyone, Today we spent the morning catching Yellowtail and Bluefin Tuna. The Yellows were a great grade 15-30 lbs. The trick was light line and small hooks. The Tuna were not the bigger grade we were targeting, so the search will continue. We will try a new area tomorrow. Wish us Luck, Team Supreme

Aug. 6
    I'm back.  After taking the last trip off and spending some quality time with the fam I showed up this morning to meet the boat at 7:00 and was greeted by an impressive catch by the Chapparo group.  We did the turn around thing, got some bait and we were in the fishing grounds by 3:00 this afternoon.  It sounded like we missed most of the action while we were dockside.  It was mostly a morning bite.  We had a few stops this afternoon for over a fish per angler so we can't complain about fishing on a departure day.  We're currently drifting in nice weather and we'll be starting off here in the morning.
