36 pass. 18 yellowfin tuna 2 yellowtail. Spent most of the day trying to get the lay of the land and we like what we see. Please bring a 20lb bait rod and a 40lb bait rod. A colt sniper or popper rod is always a fun tool but certainly not necessary. Size 2 and size 2/0 live bait hooks. A short piece of flouro always helps. No passports required for offshore trips.  Wow!  What a day.  2015!  We started it off early on anchor.  The sun wasn't even up yet and we were catching tuna and wahoo.  For about an hour there on anchor we were gettinum.  We had about 30 of those 25-30+ pound tuna and almost 20 wahoo before an hour.  Things slowed so we pulled anchor and got nasty.  We had a couple other bingers for wahoo for about 10 each time, and of course we would catch that big tuna during those drifts.  After that though, us and the 3 other boats that were here pretty much had the wahoo caught for the day.  There was a few left to be had but we mostly caught that tuna up to perhaps 40 pounds the rest of the day.  Not wide open.  We're not "fixed up".  Just steady for most of the day.  Before dark we started "the troll of shame".  I've never done that the second day of the trip.  We got 2 passengers out of there and still have 2 or 3 left who haven't caught a wahoo yet.  Oh they had there chances.  Some of those guys on that team lost 4 or 5 skin today.  But that's wahoo fishing.  Sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes the bar eats you.

 We're going to try this again in the morning.  I would love to get 40 or 50 more tuna and a couple more handfuls of wahoo.  That would be epic.  After the morning hit we're going to make a run and try for some yellows in the afternoon.
        

One of the things that makes these fish so special is the fact that they are challenging. Growing up in San Diego, I never would have thought it would be possible to catch a 100 pound tuna and sleep in your own bed. Today the special opportunity continued as we landed 3 bluefin. 2@ 75 lbs and 1 @ 156.

Oct. 1

I have very little to write about today. Everyone just chilled out. It's tough to say that though because it was so hot today. You'll have that when your at a lower latitude then Cabo San Lucas. Today was our last day of travel. You can tell when that day has arrived because Charlie starts to lose his mind. He can keep it together for about 3 days of travel but any longer then that he starts to get a little coo coo. He was sitting in the wheel house today counting the flying fish he saw flying by as the boat spooked them. He also walked about 3 miles around the boat. All this is very necessary to keep Charlie at a sane enough level to keep everyone on board safe so we encourage it. Everyone else did the same old same old. Movies, rigging, cigars, naps and Mark just ate food all day. We arrive to our destination at about 4:00 in the morning and we're all really excited to do so. Tomorrows report will have to do with fishing.

Today we arrived to the grounds late. We were looking around for wahoo a little after noon. We only scraped up one Wahoo. However around 4pm we got the anchor down and started catching some great quality Tuna. 18-25lbs with the 30-40 lbers making a showing in the mix as well. Very clean tuna fishing here today. Hopefully we can get these Wahoo figured out tomorrow. Here we Have Bryan and Wai Hung Man showing off their quality tuna.

We are re-opening the last spot on a upcoming 5.5 cedros-offshore trip. Targeting bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, and calico bass!! Only 18 passenger limited load! Viva variety! We started the day off with some excellent Yellowtail fishing. Mixed grade fish from 8 lbs to 35 lbs. The majority was released but we were able to pull some nice grade fish aboard. Weather is great and conditions are good down here. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme
