Polaris Supreme docked at Fisherman's Landing August 3 under skipper Drew Henderson's hand. There were 24 anglers aboard the five-day trip. "We had a good day on the one day the albacore were up," said Drew. "Then we fished kelps for dorado and yellowtail." Ron Chisum of Escondido won first place for a 32.4-pound albacore he got with a sardine on a 3/0 Mustad hook and 30-pound Ande line. He said he used a TLD 15 reel and a Calstar 270 rod. He brought his best dorado, a 25-pounder, into the lineup photo. Steve Taylor of Napa Valley tied for second place with Tom Connors of Escondido. Both had albacore of 31.8 pounds.

We arrived at the dock this morning at 7:30 and would like to thank Ron Heil again for putting such a great group together. We look forward to seeing you all again next year. We are off again with the Let's Talk Hook-up charter. Pete was unable to come but we have Ryan, who is also from the show, as our charter head. Needless to say he was happy to step in for Pete. Wish us luck and check in again tomorrow.

A pretty slow couple of days. We saw plenty of fish in tuna zone only finding one school that would react. We hit it a couple times before it scattered and we had to try and find something new. The next day we hit a couple of the shallows along the ridge. It was slow there too. We hooked a few marlin, a couple handfuls of dorado and a skin trolling around. We tried various anchor jobs for a few yellows here and there but we weren't going to get the job done there. We will be kelping tomorrow, way out far.

Our full day trip was turned into a 1/2 day trip due to rough seas. We did however get a couple of good shots and ended with 28 yellowtail. Looking forward to spending an entire day on the grounds tomorrow.

Good evening everyone, Today we spent the day, crimping, cutting, wiring, and simply enjoying the ride down the line. Sun in the sky, low winds, and great company. What more can you ask for! We have Wahoo in our sights for tomorrow morning and are making great speed traveling down. We should arrive early tomorrow morning to begin trying for these fish. Hello Everyone, Today we had another awesome day of fishing. A huge variety of species including Yellowtail, Grouper, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Pargo, and Dorado. The Pargo we caught were off a school that was breezing on the surface. An incredible sight that was amazing to see. A patch of water was literally red with Pargo. We only caught a handful, hopefully we will be able to figure out how to catch them next time. Slightly breezy but nice on the anchor. Will Report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

We spent all day looking for kelps and never saw a single scrap. Not a single scrap. One beautiful wahoo on the troll late and that was all we tagged. We will be anchoring up Alijos Rocks early morning trying for a night bite and try for tuna and skin during the day.

Good evening guys and gals, This morning we departed on our annual Let's Talk Hook-Up 4 day. We were able to get off the dock early and fill our tanks with some really great looking sardines. Shortly after leaving the harbor we conducted our famous tackle and fishing seminar and got right to fishing! We had pretty spectacular afternoon filled with leaping Dorado and even some big bruiser yellowtail. We really could not have asked for a better first day of fishing! Everyone had a chance to pull on some fish, which was a great way to warm up for the fishing to come! We finished off the day with a beautiful Prime Rib dinner and got to bed early to be well rested for yellow fin fishing we will be doing tomorrow! Tight lines and depleting fish tags, Team Supreme
