We started in the rain, loading passengers and loading bait. Now we're full steam rolling down in nice weather. There is reports of bad weather down below but we're traveling the correct direction for it not to effect us. We hope this trip is in perfect time with the perfect weather. We'll most likely start the trip off with an afternoon of yellowtail fishing before we decide on where we're going from there.

It was a nice warm sunny day traveling today. There is still a pretty
good swell with a wind wave on top of it, but it has swung behind us and
our ride is great. The guys spent the day relaxing except for George
and Craig who spent the afternoon doing laps around the deck and
push-ups. They probably felt they needed to work off all the home
cooking we have been eating today. Huevos Rancheros for breakfast,
chicken fried steak for lunch and dinner, beef stroganoff. Of course
sashimi for hors d'voures. Twenty four more hours to go. See you tomorrow.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-10-2019
Again we had another great weather day. Fishing was slower with just a little bit of quality. We got some nice grouper and Wahoo for the day. Spent a lot of time looking for a kelp with Dorado to no avail. Looks like we're going to have to make a move for tomorrow!

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-30-2018
Fishing was a little scratchy all day. We hooked one around for the day and landed most of them! The sharks were not too bad. Knock on wood. Our adversary today was the weather we had some gnarly wind up to 35 kn gusting over the island at times and then it would be slick not a breath of air. We found drifting work the best to keep the tangles down to nothing. The weather as far as roughness was good being in the lee of the island. We're going to do this for a few more days and are still very excited about our prospects. As you can see the fish we landed today are absolutely beautiful grade.

And we're off on another 5 day trip. Things didn't go so hot at the bait receivers. The bait we got was healthy, we just weren't allowed to take a full load. We were shorted 75 scoops or so. Anyways, we looked for fishies this afternoon. We saw some small spots of yellowfin right out of the gates that wouldn't bite, and then didn't see anything until almost dark. A sonar ball of yellowfin produced three fish so we got jackpot handled already. 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We're going to slide down a little tonight and look in an area that produced some pretty darn good yellowfin fishing today. The weather is magnificent.
