Good Morning everyone, Today we departed on our Simpatico 6 day charter. We hustled and had a nice early start to our trip. We decided to start fishing kelp patties for Dorado and Yellowfin. We found a school of Dorado that bit extremely well. They were a bit on the small side, but the action was RED HOT none the less. Tomorrow we are hoping for Tuna. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

We have a two day trip that has some spots available. The trip departs Sunday the 9th of September at 9 p.m. fishing the 10th and 11th. and returns on the evening of the 11th. This two day is limited to 20 people. Cost is $510 per person and includes food and permits.

Today was a travel day. The weather is good and the anglers are excited to start fishing. Lunch we dined on chicken fettuccine and dinner was veal chop with bacon wrapped asparagus and lobster potatoes. We should be fishing by mid-day tomorrow.

48 yellowtail 16 barracuda 8 calico bass. Fun summer time fishing for the Dave McAdams private charter.

Captain Mike Pritchard checked in this afternoon with an update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We are currently on a 1.5 day trip with 10 anglers. We have limits of Bluefin Tuna (20) up to 70 pounds. We also have some Yellowtail too. The Tribute is ONLINE at Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA.

TERRIFIC 1.5 TRIP!!! APOLLO on a 1.5 trip to Colonett with 25 anglers took in 48 Lingcod, 29 Yellows & 125 Rockfish. That's great winter fishing!!! We're now getting reservations for February.                 These darn bluefin let me tell ya.  This morning looked so juicy.  We drifted for hours on 3 different schools and caught 9.  Hours.  And it's not like they weren't hanging around.  I mean the boat was jugged underneath.  They were under us like shishkabob.  9 fish.  We lost our fair share but 9 fish?  With what we saw?

 

                Mid day wasn't that awesome.  We saw some but it didn't impress me.  We messed around with some small yellows while we waited for things to straighten out.  At 4 things did.  Not right away.  We saw the school and it took a while to get things going but eventually it did.  We drifted for 2 straight hours catching fish.  Not wide open.  But fairly steady. 1-6 going.  Action.  Nice ones.  After that drift we did it again.  Again it took a while to get things going but again, it did.  We drifted until dark on that one.  About an hour.  Same deal.  Maybe a little less. 1-4 going.  So it was an afternoon thing today.  I'm sure glad we hung around for it.

 

                So we head in now.  We're departing tomorrow on a 5 day.  What are we going to do?

                                                                                               

Good morning everyone! Still battling some very very rough seas! We should be into Ensenada on time this afternoon and definitely will not be doing any fishing today. Looking forward to getting out of this weather probably by 2 o'clock or 3 o'clock this afternoon. It looks like the next trip Vernon's guys will have a nice ride down to Guadalupe on their five day. Nothing to do today but breakdown tackle and do a few boat projects.
