Nice bluefin making for a great starter and finisher for our 6 day trips. Next one leaves August 23rd!

23 pass. 75 yellowfin tuna from 12-20 lbs. please bring a 20 lb bait rod a 30 lb bait rod. An optional 4th outfit should be a 40 lb rod to fish an 80-100 gram colt sniper.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 11-11-16 Today we are going to start out our report by telling Carla Studley that her husband Tom Studley would like to tell her he loves her and has been happy to have been married to her for so many wonderful years. Happy Anniversary Carla and Tom! After writing that last sentence I just found out that Mark and Eve on board are having an anniversary today! Congratulations to you two also! Well on to fishing. I don't know where they came from I'm glad they did we just had a great day Wahoo fishing! What a great place to celebrate your anniversary for Mark and Eve catching Wahoo on board the Polaris supreme! At least you get the benefit at home Carla with Wahoo tacos Wahoo Almond Dean and what ever delicious dish you can come up with. We have great weather and are having a fantastic time out here we are hoping the Wahoo are going to stick around inside here like they were today, that would be fantastic to do this two days in a row! 27 pass. 3 bluefin tuna at 135 lbs, 132 lbs and 80 lbs. 2 yellowtail. Had a couple shots at trophy’s. Sinker rigs on 50 lb with a 6 oz torpedo and 150-250 gram Flatfalls on 50 or 60 lb was the best today. A 40 lb flyline outfit is also recommended. Two speed reels that are at least a 12 size will increase your chances drastically. Seaforth Sportfishing has two speed reels for rent.

The Tribute finished off the day with 165 Yellowfin Tuna, 14 BluefinTuna and 1 Skipjack for the 33 anglers on board.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this evening with an update from “The San Diego” out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay! Today we had 34 passengers catch 7 Bluefin Tuna (20 to 55 pounds) and 12 Yellowtail. We had several heartbreaks on 75 to 120 pounders. Please bring a 25 to 30 pound rod as well as a 50 pound rod.
