big stone Fishing Report 2024

Hello everyone,

It has been some real hit or miss fishing going on out here. The grade of the Yellowfin and Bluefin has been great.  14-25 lb Yellowfin and 30-40 lb Bluefin. It’s just a matter of getting that drift with 1 to 2 fish going the whole time. 

We are managing to scrape up some Tuna here. Still looking for the big drift!

Nice grade of Yellowtail on kelps, with really good sign of Tuna that were hard to catch. Also more Dorado showing on kelps, but the 2 we hooked, found their freedom.

First of all I'd like to say that I'm aware I spelled whine wrong yesterday. As soon as I hit send I realised it so don't mention it. Secondly I'm going to let Mark write the report tonight so here we go. Enjoy.

Nevermind that. Mark refused. Anyways, we departed today on the old Bob Vance 5 day trip. PLenty of food, fuel, bait, passengers, crew, water, tackle and whatever else we use out here on board. We had a nice lunch, nap and seminar today and will be looking for tuna first light and before in the dark. Dinner was spectacular as always with the usual prime rib and sides. I also enjoyed a delicous mango sorbet with some kind of strawberry glaze sauce stuff on it also topped with fresh strawberries. Write to you tomorrow. See you later.

Hello Everyone, Today we had an nice hit on Wahoo. They were big beautiful fish. We managed to get everyone a Wahoo. Along with Wahoo we had some nice Dorado, Tuna, and even a Pargo mixed in. The conditions are really looking up around here! We will be working up trying for Yellowtail Tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme P.S. We have a 1.5 day trip this weekend aboard the new boat Pride. Berkley,Penn, and other companies will be on the boat with raffles and giveaways for each passenger. 115 yellowfin tuna 98 skipjack tuna. 80 of our yellowfin were 18-30 lbs. the rest were 10 pounders. The skipjack are extra large. Please bring a 25 lb rod and a 40 or 50 lb rod. Size #2 hooks for your 25 lb rod and size #1 for your 40 or 50 lb rod.

Couple of long drifts with steady action produced 51 yellowfin tuna 96 skipjack tuna. 20 lb bait rod and a 40 lb bait rod.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-29-2018 Today is what I would call a book end day! We woke up in the dark to great fishing on yellowfin tuna and yellowtail. Midday scrounge around for virtually nothing. In the afternoon they started biting again and went into the dark! We should have just took naps from 10 in the morning until four in the afternoon! It was a great day of fishing. We had great weather all day and are looking forward to tomorrow. Wish us luck Team Supreme
