Barkley Sound Fishing Report

last day on the water and it was overcast with a bit of wind. temp was 13.5 degrees, pretty nice actually. caught some decent sized cohos! they were hitting on spoons. ended the trip with a bang, totally worth the time spent out there. can’t wait for the next one!

overcast again in Barkley Sound, but hey, that's fishing! temp was around 11.8. hooked into a couple of small halibuts and a few perch. used squid for bait and they seemed to be biting! feeling good about the day, that's for sure.

went out again today, the rain was kinda off and on but can't complain! 12.1 degrees felt alright. caught 2 big rockfish on some heavy jigs, they put up a good fight! overall fun day out on the boat, definitely worth it despite the weather.

what a soggy day! we braved the moderate rain today, temp was around 12.8 degrees. got tossed around a bit with the wind at 26km/h, but we still managed to hook into 4 nice salmon. i was using a spinner rig that worked wonders! totally soaked but a great outing.

partly cloudy day in Barkley Sound, water was calm. temp was a bit nicer at 11.6. i was using a topwater plug and man, did the fish love it! landed 5 little guys but had a blast. saw a seal pop up too, kinda cool. just a chill day!
