twizel Fishing Report 2024

Fishing today was sporadic. It had it's moments, but overall we just scratched with a variety of Albacore, Bluefin, Yellowfin, Yellowtail and Dorado. It was a pretty even mix of everything. Our weather continues to be excellent. So we will try again tomorrow and hope for more of the same, but a little bit better.

It's time for dinner. Chicken Cordon Blu is on the menu for tonight.

So we will check in again tomorrow.

Hey sports fans the voyager is running a 1 day mexico coast trip fishing pescadaro, salsipuedes, mezqiute and surrounding areas! It has been fun bass fishing this year so far down there!! Awesome fishing once again with a bite that lasted for 6 hours producing 31 Yellowfin 18-40 pounds and 26 Bluefin 50-80 pounds. Happy Thanksgiving!

The Coronado islands continue to produce.

Polaris Supreme Report 07-26-2016 Hello everyone Today we really put the nose to the grind stone and had to work at these yellowtail. There are big fish around but they are proving to be very difficult to catch. Today we had 3 obstacles: slack current in the morning, hundreds of veracious baby yellowtail, and the famed sea lion. These mammals proved to be the toughest bout we encountered when it came to landing big fish. Many of the better quality yellowtail were lost to the sea lions including an absolute standout monster that would have went over 40 pounds. We were able to boat the fish, but not after the taxman left his mark on the portion of the belly. That aside we made out with a nice catch for the day, everyone was able to put tags on plenty of fish. It was a truly action filled day, full of hundreds of releases and hard fought battles with the sea lions with hard won success in the end. Especially our dark bite that went off right at dinner. That was all beautiful quality fish and no sea lions they were already on land sleeping. Hopefully tomorrow will be at least as good with a little less action on the sea lions . Captain Ryan Bostian checked in from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. We fished at the Coronado Islands yesterday. It was our first trip at the Islands for a months. We had 13 anglers and we had full limits of Yellowtail on our first stop of the day. We had excellent fishing for Yellowtail, Bonito and Calico Bass. They were biting on surface iron and fly-lined baits.

The loads are light. We had two reservations for tomorrow so we should have plenty of room on the boat.

Hello everyone, Today we were able to put together a great day out here. Lots of life just not entirely the life we were looking for. We were able to fly line up some nice Wahoo and some good quality Dorado. A welcome addition to the collection of fish we have on board. Among the fish landed today we were able to get some of the guys their very first/ personal best Wahoo. The first Hoo is always the hardest! We are headed up the line tonight to be in position for a shot at yellowtail tomorrow morning. Wish us luck, Team Supreme
