south west Fishing Report 2025

Choppy seas turned into a flat beautiful ocean. We think the fish liked it as much as we did. 76 yellowfin 75 skipjack for our 38 passengers.

51 pass. 63 yellowtail 1 dorado. Our offshore area is looking better everyday ! Our next open party trip is Tuesday Aug. 13.

Monday, September 10th, 2012

Hi friends. Just a real dandy of a day for us today. We started it out in the morning with the yellowtail snap and then we followed it up in the afternoon with Monday night footballs. The footballs were all you wanted and we also added a small handful of dorado to our days count. We did all of this in flat calm conditions and the boys are all wore out from the excellent fishing that we had today. Everybody's pumped and I screamed myself hoarse today.

For tomorrow, we're looking for tuna with a little more size as one of our code boats had a nice afternoon on those premium grade offshore yellowfin tuna so we'll be in the area looking around for a few ourselves. The boys enjoyed a twenty-two year old Cabernet sauvigon tonight and I think Robin and Wayne might have shed a tear together while talking about it. I still haven't had any but the dudes looked pretty glossy-eyed so I imagine it was pretty darn good.

Anyhow, the Blue/White gang is having a super duper fantastic time catching fish, drinking cocktails/wine, and eating Chef Shawn's culinary creations. Our weather forecast is looking good for tomorrow so hopefully we can get on a big ole' school of big yellowfin. Wish us luck.

Hi everyone, We will be fishing the Channel Islands out of Santa Barbara this weekend and we have space on a open charter sponsored by Berkley. These are always fun trips to be a part of there will be give aways and swag. The trip will depart from Sea Landing at 9pm on Thursday night and fish Friday returning Friday evening. The trip will target Shallow water rockfish and if there is some sign of seabass or halibut around we will give those a shot too. The trip is limited to 20 people and the cost is $200. Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-08-2019 What a sweet ride down we've had beautiful weather! Made good speed and had a nice early arrival this morning into the fishing grounds. Fishing started off tough. Actually it was brutal! You would catch and release 30 skipjack just to catch one keeper yellowfin tuna. We would catch a Wahoo here and there to spice things up but it just wasn't working. Finally after 10 hours of get in all jacked up, AKA skipjack, Things started going our way. It was like somebody flipped a switch! For the next four hours we had a very consistent bite on quality yellowfin tuna ,right into the dark. Our weather stayed great all day and were going to try our luck here again tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Ok guys we are just finishing up the last few items on our maintenance list. We plan to start fishing daily on Saturday February 2. These trips will be targeting yellowtail at the Coronado islands. If we do not see yellowtail we will target bottom fish. Bring a yo-yo rod a live bait rod and a rock cod outfit. These trips will cost $105 which includes your Mexican permit. Come join us !

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-23-2016 Just a quick shout out to our jackpot winners from the Paul Hess trip. In the dual picture on the left is Joe with a 29.6 pound yellowtail on the right is Ryan first Place with a 34.8 pound yellowtail in the single picture is of Mary with her 33.2 pound yellowtail. Congratulations on the nice fish and sorry it took so late to get them up posted we been really busy looking for more fish and catching fish. The Polaris Supreme Crew !

Hello everyone, Today we had a much better day of fishing. We were able to piece together a nice day here for Wahoo, Yellowtail, Tuna, and Dorado. It took some work but the fish were coming aboard. With a great variety of fish on the boat today we are looking forward to what tomorrow has in store for us. Wish us luck, team supreme
