San Diego regulars Eli Malfavon and Elmer Mun display a couple nice yellowfin they landed in our all day drift. We stopped the boat once for 103 yellowfin and 27 skipjack.

The first half of our day today was spent traveling to the Island. We slept in, had a nice relaxing breakfast, did our tackle seminar and enjoyed the nice ride down. That was my take on it anyways. I'm sure the passengers we're very anxious to get a line wet. It was worth the wait. When we got our anchor down at 3:30 the jumbo yellows immediately were on the prowl. It was very good fishing for the next couple hours and then slowed down a little to a steady pick until dark. We are very pleased with our day and I can't wait to see what's in store for us tomorrow. The galley portion of the day was great. Pedro dished out a beautiful seafood Newburg and we're getting ready to chow down on Cornish game hens stuffed with something I'm sure will knock our socks off.

POLARIS SUPREME TRIP REPORT 11-08-2020 TO 11-12-2020 Day 6 and 7 ( that would be the 8th and 9th) where very similar. Both days we had fair pickings on the wahoo on the sardine during the day and Incredibility Awesome fishing on 30 to 40 pound Yellow tail at nite. A couple of great days of fishing. Weather was a little breezy but not to bad all and all good weather except our traveling to get here that was rough going. Day 8 the 10th we spent the morning fishing kelp patty's for Dorado and Wahoo. The guys kept 14 Dorado and released the rest and we had 2 wahoo get away. The rest of the day was spent traveling and napping. We where really burning the candle at both end of the stick fishing all day for Wahoo and all night for monster Yellow tail. The sleep was well earned. Day 9 and 10. That's today and tomorrow. Today is scrub the boat day and we have great weather to do it in. Tomorrow we will be arriving early to unload a nice catch of fish. We would like to thank all of our great anglers for a fun trip and special thanks to Jim Stan and Clarence for bringing their friends together on the trip. Thank you Stan you ARE THE SWAG MASTER. Captain Aliyar Nabi called in this morning with a wrap up report from the Pacifica out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. We just got back this morning from our 1.5 day trip. The Bluefin Tuna fishing continues to be excellent. We ended up with 52 Bluefin Tuna for our 26 anglers. We had some really nice fish between 150 and 190 pounds. We also caught some in the 12 to 45 pound range. The flat fall fishing at night produced 40 fish.

Good evening. We just finished up our day out here on the Bluefin grounds and the people are downstairs enjoying dinner and a shower right now. It was looking pretty sad there for a while there but just in the last few hours, we managed to salvage our day and made an afternoon of it.

Up until around the late afternoon time, we just got bits and pieces and right around our afternoon snack time, we got on a legitimate school and had a couple hour drift on 25-60 lb. shortfins and a few nice Yellowtail as well. Just before dark, we found a couple of other schools and we managed to pick off a few fish to round out the day.

So we're pumped up about our afternoon delight and The Mustache (Drew) has decided to stick it out here for another day based on what went on in the afternoon. We weren't the only boat to have schools float in the afternoon either. All the boats out here had the ocean come alive and it was a decent spread of guys out here in all different areas. With that, we're banking on these fish getting with it tomorrow, hopefully sooner rather than later. We'll see.

So that is all. Our weather is decent at the moment but all in all, it was a freaky weather day. At times today, we had 5 knots of breeze and at times we had gusts of 40 knots, no smoke. The sea conditions weren't all that bad but the wind was variable to say the least. With a favorable forecast for tomorrow, we're hoping for a banner day. Wish us luck, good night.

Nov. 6

                Hello you all.  It's November 6th and we have a full load for a day and a half trip.  Nov. 6.  Now that's 2015 for ya.  So we're back out again and this time it's for an extended time because we have this 1.5 day and then we arrive/depart on a 10 day.  We're fueled and Smarted and Finaled up and ready to do it all baby.  First things first though.  We took straight sardine because we're going to mix it up this trip.  We're going to skip the veal tuna at the bank and fish for yellows at Clemente and look for a dorado kelp in the afternoon.  See you tomorrow.

                                                                               

Captain Ryan Bostian just called in with an update from The San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we had 33 Yellowtail (18 to 31 pounds) for 48 anglers. They fish were biting good in the morning on YoYo Iron. Then in the afternoon the surface action picked up. We are seeing lots of fish and things are looking good for the Coronado Islands.
