POLARIS SUPREME TRIP UPDATE 10-03- 2020 Socked in fog today and this is all eye ball fish! We caught 1 fish in the dark and one mid day. It finally started biting late, bit into the dark and turned into a fantastic day. all Bluefin today 25-55 pounds. The seas where flat calm and look like they will be for a few more days. Only 1 pic too busy. In tomorrow and back out for 3. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Wow! What a great 8 day trip we just had here on the Polaris Supreme! It was great finally getting to fish that southern zone of Alijos Rocks and The Ridge! Over 200 great quality wahoo, red hot Yellowfin Tuna fishing, and awesome night time Yellowtail fishing. The action was nonstop! We cannot wait to get back down there! We currently have a 10 day coming up with some spots available. Be sure to lock in your chance at some great fall wahoo, tuna, yellowtail, and maybe even a day of cow tuna fishing! I'm lying. Its actually Oct. 6 as I write this. It's Drew here, back from a few trips spent on land and fresh out for a healthy 40 day stretch. It appears I have some large shoes to fill as Cap. Richie has been putting the wood to the tuna fish out here lately. Well mother nature welcomed me back with some wind. Thanks mom. We arrived to the fishing grounds we chose to start about an hour ago and threw out the sea anchor in hopes that the tuna will find us rather then vice versa. It's easier that way when you have the wind like we do and if the tuna do find us it will be much more comfortable with the bow to the wind like it is with the chute out. We'll know the answer to that in about an hour or more. Baits o.k. There is much more sardine alive this morning then I thought there would be. So that's it. There's a dorado swimming around out my wheelhouse window so I'm going to go make someone catch it.

Today we went out with 15 anglers. We started our trip this morning by searching the area where we caught our yellowtail yesterday. After a couple hours of looking without success, we decided to put the sinkers on and go rock fishing. Our rock fishing efforts were rewarded with 30 reds and 58 miscellaneous rockcod. With only a few hours left in our trip we decided to go looking for yellowtail again. At approximately 1:30 p.m. we located a very nice school of yellowtail along the bottom. This school responded very well to our chum, every sardine that hit the water was desperately swimming for his life creating a very impressive show of boiling yellowtail. After a chaotic 15 minute drift we had two 25 lb. yellowtail.
