Good evening everyone, Today we rolled up the beach on our last day of our A.H.I 8 day trip. The charter masters put together an amazing award ceremony with shirts, prizes, and trophies. This was the perfect way to end the trip along with a very nice dinner from chef Mike. Talk about next years trip was already in progress, and these anglers cant't wait to be back. Next year will mark their 25th A.H.I charter. This just goes to show the groups organization and passion for being on the water. This was a very well rounded trip with everything you could ask for, great weather, good fishing and most importantly, everyone had a great time with us. Captain Ryan Bostian called in with a Coronado Island Report from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing. Today we had 24 anglers catching 92 Yellowtail (up to 30 pounds). Yesterday we only had 14. But they rebounded good today they were biting really good. We are a go tomorrow! The fish were mainly in the 15 pound class. They are biting very well on the surface iron but we did catch fish on live bait too. Call Seaforth at (619) 224-3383 to get in on the action.

Good evening folks.  We started this morning off with our efforts toward making some bait but just couldn't get it to bite so we switched gears and got into fishing mode. The guys put 7 yellowfin on the deck then it was wahoo time.  For our efforts, we were rewarded with 20 nice skin for the day. No complaints about that.  We even managed to land a few more tuna in the middle of of trolling around. When the hoo decided to move on, it was right back to tuna fishing for the rest of the afternoon. All in all, the guys put together a 30 fish day, not bad at all.

                Chef Mike and Gringo in the galley still continue to please with todays lunch being a homemade crab bisque along side a stuffed portabello mushroom and ending the day with Mikes famous Polaris Supreme style cashew crusted fresh wahoo, rice pilaf and snow peas the could have been served in any fine dining restraunt. Everyone is geared up for tomorrow and ready to go. So we'll check back in tomorrow night.

27 Anglers, 57 Yellowtail, and 30 Bonito. Sealions made us work for it but we got our share.

~~Sept. 2
 We hit the yellowtail grounds today. Not until 9:30. I started looking at 0400 but we weren't there until 9:30. "There" is where we had some good tailing. There's not a whole lot to write about it. We were there, and they were hitting. Most everyone was dropping jigs down and winding them back fast to achieve there tails. Before lunch I was considering fishing yellowtails tomorrow morning before traveling all day to put us in position for tuna the following day, but when I went in to eat lunch, there were 10 fish in the box. The crew dropped them, when I came back out there were 3 in the box and everyone was leaning against the rail not fishing except 3 passengers and 1 of those had 1 hanging. I got the hint. They caught enough yellowtail and they want tuna now. So we'll be traveling all day tomorrow to put ourselves in position to fish bluefin the following day weather pending.

 The weather today was windy, but the further north we get now the less wind there is. It's a nice ride now.

Polaris Supreme update  10-4-12  14:00 hours

Hey Anglers,

Richie and the gang got out at 18:00 hours last evening and neglected to put out a report. But I can tell you I talked to him at 12:00 hours today and he was very disgruntled with only jig strikes to be had so far. I talked to him later on at 14:01 hours and he was doing back flips with over 100 bluefin in a wide open bite and they were still biting. They have great weather and I'm sure Richie will have a report for you by the end of the day or tomorrow morning when they arrive at 06:00 hours. Our next 1.5 day trip is full but we do still have openings on the 6-day departing this Sunday, October 7th.

 Here we go again.  This time for 4 days.  Tough decision for me today.  Do i make a left or a right?  As always, they both have there advantages and disadvantages, but in the end, one outweighed the other.  So I made a left.  I hope I made the right decision  Good timing is everything.  We're bombing her down below.  We've been flying down all day and night and we"ll be fishing after lunch tomorrow.  One of the boats caught some tuna down this way today and we're going to try and get in on some of that.  We should have good weather for the trip as long as the forecast holds true.  We're hoping for lots of fish the next couple days.  I could use the pressure release.
