Capt Matt and the boys are engaged with a school of bluefin. They currently have 7 on deck and few more hanging. The fish they have landed so far are 25-35 lbs. I’m sure the big boys are watching and waiting for their opportunity to bite someone’s light line. Come prepared with a 25 lb setup a 40 lb setup and a setup capable of landing a fish over 100 lbs. the variety of available fish sizes creates a bit of a pickle but trust me when I tell you. You want to use heavier than needed equipment rather than the opposite.

It was a rather slow day out here for us. Not miserably slow but it definitely could've been better. I'll just break it down for you so you know what I call a slow day. We caught 68 yellowtail, 4 bonito, 6 barracuda, 4 calico bass, 8 sand bass, 6 Sheepshead, 4 oceanic whitefish, 5 vermilion rock fish and 6 unspecified rock fish. We let some go too. We threw in the towel around 3:00. I may have a trick up my sleeve. I may tell you about it tomorrow. Anyways, we left the grounds because they're calling for wind here tomorrow and we hate wind with a passion out here on the ocean. I don't even like it on land. We're going to a less windy spot. I'm just not sure where yet. Find out tomorrow.
The weather now is fantastic. Very little wind and along with that comes very little sea state. It's nice. Steamy too. You should see Mark's shirt. It looks like he fell in the water. I offered anyone 20 dollars to wear it today but I got no takers.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing. We have been targeting Yellowfin Tuna. Please be prepared for the bigger Bluefin Tuna too. We had excellent fishing today on nice school sized Yellowfin (18 to 25 pound). We had 41 passengers catch 133 Yellowfin Tuna. The hot rod has been 20 pound mono and 20 pound flurocarbon. Please be prepared and bring a 15 pound outfit, a 20 pound outfit and a 50 pound outfit.

922Polaris Supreme trip report 11-25-18. We departed today on a six-day Guadalupe trip. We got out with a nice load of bait that we already had on board left over from last trip. We literally checked in our passengers and loaded and left. A nice early start! The previous seven days we were out for a private seven-day trip to go fish Wahoo! It was an absolute hundred percent success we came in a day early. Here are a few pictures of some of the folks in their catch. 335Captain Ryan of The San Diego checked in with a trip report for today. 57 Bluefin(15-60lbs) 14 Yellowfin (15-30lbs). About as good as it gets local Bluefin fishing. A 30-50lb bait rod was all you needed today.

Our day sort of reversed from yesterday. Today it was a super slow morning that led into an action packed afternoon. We looked for bluefin tuna this morning. We started off in the zone where it had been in the weeks prior, but like yesterday, it wasn't around. We caught one 12 pounder on the troll all morning. We looked around there and in other places I thought it might have gone but we never saw an meat. We went through one area where at least we were seeing little dabs of the BF but it was diving off on the meter. We could tell it didn't want it.So we kept tracking around and ended up close to a possible yellowtail honey hole. So we took a look and that's exactly what it was. For the rest of the afternoon till dark we stayed pretty steady on 12-25+ pound yellers. It was good fishing. A very pleasant surprise. We're keeping this ball rolling.
Needless to say, well maybe not needless, but we're going to spend the night here and see what this place looks like in the morning.

1110Hello everyone, Today was the last day of our SImpatico 5 day charter. We decided to try our hand again at these Bluefin Tuna. The weather was choppy and it was uncomfortable for everyone. We only scratched up a couple of small tuna during the day. It wasn't until the evening that we found a school that wanted to play. We got our shot right before dark on a school right at the buzzard, at the end of the day. The fish were from 25 to 80 lbs, a nice mixed school to bring aboard and save the day! We had a great drift until dark, and we were excited to get the action in. What a great way to finish a great trip! An unbelievable variety on this trip including White Seabass, Halibut, Yellowtail, Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna, and even a 141lb Bluefin Tuna! Also I would like to thank Charter master Vernon Burke for putting together such a fun charter with a great group of guys! Always look forward to the trip and cant wait till next year!
