29 yellowtail, 44 reds, and 100 whitefish. Yellowtail sightings are starting to become very consistent. Spring is in the air.

Hello everyone We just wrapped up another successful Simpatico five day charter put on by Vernon Burke. A great group of anglers who know how to fish hard and have fun on their five days of fishing vacation! It was a great trip this five day, we committed to big fish as opposed to big numbers. Some nice bluefin in the 60-90 lb class, the fish that were caught were the biggest these gentlemen have ever caught in their lives. The triumphs and defeats were spread pretty evenly but everyone had their chance at several quality Blufin of a lifetime! Nice yellow Pablo! Made a little bit of squid and things were looking pretty fishy. Got one fish and saw some more. Game fish scene is straightening out.

Managed 4 nice Bluefin and Yellowfin in a less than ideal sea state today

The guys are out at the islands with just 11 anglers this morning. They have 30+ yellowtail so far with lots of fishing time left. Capt Matt suggests a 20 or 25 lb bait rod a 40 lb yo-yo rod and your favorite jigstick and bass rod.

Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute with this report. "We have 35 Bluefin for this stop and we're right around 60 for the day. Yellowtail fishing has been very good as well. We're at about 100 on the Yellowtail and a few Dorado. The Bluefin is up to about 70 lbs. A lot of the the is in the 15 to 25 lb. range. We still have some daylight left, we'll keep you posted.

Weather kept us new shore today, so we targeted Vermillion Rockfish. Worked out just fine.!

Reed Fiori checked in this evening with an audio update from Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today the San Diego fished at the Coronado Islands. They had 18 anglers catch 25 Yellowtail, 42 Bonito and 56 Red Rock Cod. The Yellowtail bit late in the day. The Yo-Yo Jig was the ticket and there was a couple fishing caught on the surface iron.
