We have a few open spots on this weekends 2.5 day charter to Colnett and surrounding areas! We had good signal on yellowtail this last trip, and ended up with 55!! To go with wonderful rock fishing and shallow water lingcod!! These trips are set to early depart at 5pm for maximum fishing time!! The Endeavor out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing returned from an Overnight trip with 18 passengers.

Fish count: 65 Whitefish 180 Rockfish

Fishing was excellent today. Most of the tuna were 70-125 lbs. they started biting in the gray and continued just until dark. We released all of them except Al kept a 197 lb. tuna and Craig kept one that was 187 lbs. We also had a few wahoo mixed in. Weather is gorgeous. We are going to give it a try again tomorrow. Lunch was Chili Colorado, hors d'oeuvres were shrimp, crab claws and sashimi. Dinner was tuna Baja (that's a tuna fillet split and stuffed with avocado and crab meat with a sweet teriyaki ginger sauce to top it off).

POLARIS SUPREME TRIP REPORT 11-08-2020 TO 11-12-2020 Day 6 and 7 ( that would be the 8th and 9th) where very similar. Both days we had fair pickings on the wahoo on the sardine during the day and Incredibility Awesome fishing on 30 to 40 pound Yellow tail at nite. A couple of great days of fishing. Weather was a little breezy but not to bad all and all good weather except our traveling to get here that was rough going. Day 8 the 10th we spent the morning fishing kelp patty's for Dorado and Wahoo. The guys kept 14 Dorado and released the rest and we had 2 wahoo get away. The rest of the day was spent traveling and napping. We where really burning the candle at both end of the stick fishing all day for Wahoo and all night for monster Yellow tail. The sleep was well earned. Day 9 and 10. That's today and tomorrow. Today is scrub the boat day and we have great weather to do it in. Tomorrow we will be arriving early to unload a nice catch of fish. We would like to thank all of our great anglers for a fun trip and special thanks to Jim Stan and Clarence for bringing their friends together on the trip. Thank you Stan you ARE THE SWAG MASTER. Another one bites the dust ! 12 fish over 100 pounds 2 fish over 200 pounds and 23 school sized bluefin. @pennreels are what we use and trust, they have taken a huge part in our success when it comes to these fish. Thank you !!!!

 Well we had some action today.  We fished our wahoo/tuna honey hole.  It wasn't red hot but we made some drifts and caught some fish.  Our last couple schools we saw before lunch didn't react so we took a tour.  We found some tuna a couple hours into the tour.  The bigger ones.  The 25-35 pounders but we weren't ready.  Some were napping or lounging.  It hit us quick.  Everyone that made it out hooked up but it didn't last long.  We got on a couple of more deals after that but they were smaller fish.  12 pounders so we continued on our tour.  We looked for yellowtail in the afternoon but like everywhere right now it seems, there wasn't any current. 
  The weather straightened out for us today.  It was nice again.  We have one day left to fish and we want to do it catching yellowtail.  The elusive yellowtail.  That's usually the fish we don't have trouble finding but we've struck out this trip on them thus far.  We have about 30.  We want more so that's what we'll do.  From where we'll be fishing we can fish until lunch but then we have to hit the road for home.

Well we accomplished what we wanted to do today. We gave everyone a good shot at one of those cow bluefin tuna. It was at 6:05 in the am when the school got on us. We started off hooking yellowfin and watching those 100 +sers blowing out around the boat. It didn't take long for us to start hooking them. We drifted for a couple of hours with bluefin hanging on the lines. Like always with these beasts the hook to land ratio was not good. There were alot of heartbreaks for the passengers and myself and the crew. We only landed 4 of them all in the 130's. We lost a lot more then that. A few just mere feet away from being gaffed. It' a sad thing to have one of these on for an hour only to lose it in the end. Sometimes you eat the bar and sometimes the bar eats you. After the school left us we pretty much had to point her for home with a good load of fish from the trip and smiles on the lucky 4 and tears in the eyes of the rest. Short lived though. We get over these

things. You'll get them next time. We're experiencing a very nice ride home. Finally we get to wear shorts and teeshirts out here. Nice. Thanks to everyone on board. We'll be arriving tomorrow and then turning around on a 5 day trip. Should be good fishing. See you then.

Today the San Diego had 24 anglers catching 1 BlueFinn Tuna, 111 Yellowtail. Fish ranging from 5-20 pounds. Lot of fun. They have a private charter tomorrow, Saturday, but they are open after that. Call 619 224 3383.
