nwa Fishing Report 2025

Wow, I think we have to pinch ourselves to make sure it's real. We had an unbelievable day. You could throw a bait in the water any time from day break to dark and catch a tuna. Some anglers released as many as 15 tuna in the 35-45 lb. class. We also scratched a few wahoo. After a delicious dinner of a veal shank, fresh asparagus and red potatoes all our guys and one lady went to bed very tired. Our weather is gorgeous and we are looking forward to another fantastic day tomorrow. Thanks for checking in. Tommy and crew P.S. Captain Ryan Bostian called in this afternoon with an update from the 3/4 day boat The San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today Captain Taro was at the helm. We had 137 Yellowtail for our group. They were biting on fly-lined baits, Yo-Yo jigs and Dropper Loop. You must have a passport to fish the Coronado Islands now. If you want to go fishing there you need to get one! Today we had 137. Yesterday we had 114. And on Saturday we had 96 Yellowtail. It is biting good!

Ryan Bostian checked in with a report from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. Today we had 15 anglers catch 9 Bluefin Tuna (60-80 lbs) 1 Yellowfin Tuna (25 lbs). Capt Cameron and the boys had a fine day.

After two trips in a row without seeing yellowtail. This morning we were pleasantly surprised when we located a nice school first thing in the morning. After a hectic 10 minute drift with our 48 anglers we had four 13-19 pound yellowtail on the deck. All four of our yellows were taken on yo-yo jigs. The rest of our trip was spent catching whitefish and rockfish with a few sheephead mixed in. Our afternoon yellowtail hunt came up empty. Fish Count = 4 yellowtail 14 sheephead 1 lingcod 215 whitefish 107 rockfish.

Hello everyone, Today we had an exciting day of catching Bluefin Tuna and BIG Yellowtail. The Yellowtail mainly came on big Greenback Mackerel we caught ourselves. They were bruisers, once you were bit you had to pull as hard as you could to get them out of the rocks. We had many casualties but the fish we landed were very large. We are looking to try again for these Yellowtail tomorrow before looking offshore for a bigger grade of tuna. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

With the weather forecast looking good and a favorable moon phase. We have decided to switch back to offshore fishing. These trips will be limited to 44 pass and do not require passports. Come prepared with a 25 lb bait rod, a 40 or 50 lb bait rod and a 60 or 80 lb rod to fish a flat fall.

TIP FROM THE CREW : Flatfalls get bit better on smaller spools, use the smallest reel you feel comfortable with. A Talica 10 or 12 2 speed or something similar is perfect. We will fish offshore until we feel there is a better option.
