97.5 mile track line produced zero fish. The Coronado Islands are just as slow. The hunt continues tomorrow. Hope your here when they pop back up

The guys have called in with 11 bluefin from 40-80 lbs for 24 anglers . They still have plenty of time to fish. Stay tuned.

We have made a few changes to our schedule for Christmas break. Starting this Friday (Dec 21) we will be scheduled everyday until December 31. The only day we will not be scheduled is Christmas Day. On January 1st we will shut the boat down for our annual maintenance period. Happy holidays. Capt. Ryan Bostian.

56 bluefin 42 yellowfin. Long drifts keeping 1-5 fish in the 20-50lb class going all day. Rubber banded sinkers and colt snipers reigned supreme. 40-60lb line for both techniques.

~~Oct. 23
 Remember yesterday when I said we would find our dorado kelp?  Well we conquered that quest.  I tell no lies.  An hour or so after breakfast, maybe 2, we found a kelp loaded and we went to battle and overall I think we won.  I mean we caught exactly what we wanted.  Beautiful mahi mahi.  After that we went back to travel mode and we'll be arriving to our slip in San Diego tomorrow at 0800 hours.  We ate some of that mahi for dinner tonight while we watched a slide show of all the pictures taken this trip presented to us by Tommy.  Everyone misses there wives and they all told me, "Drew, I couldn't spend another minute without my wife".  That's why this trip was 15 days.  It's the maximum amount of time we can spend without our wives.

 So we tie up tomorrow and that's the way we'll stay until November 9th, when we'll be departing on a 10 day trip.  So until then, I'd just like to say how much I'll miss writing to you all.  Stay classy and thanks for stopping by, but mostly, stay classy.
         

Capt Mike Pritchard from the Tribute gave us a wrap for todays trip, it was a light load of only 11 anglers and it turned out to be a great day on the water. We ended the day with limits of Yellowfin Tuna, 44 Yellowtail and 1 Bluefin Tuna. We have another 1.5 day trip leaving tomorrow night, if you want some Tuna or Yellowtail for your 4th of July BBQ now is the time. Hi friends. Same type of scenario today just as it was yesterday; we saw tuna everywhere but could only scratch up some fish on the troll throughout the day and our weather was hot, humid, and sunny. Hard to get a fish to eat a bait with a hook in it today and it was also hard to not sweat off all of our sunscreen on our faces. Like I said, it was a difficult day as we had to troll up most of our catch with the exception of a few handfuls of quality yellowtail on the yo-yo jigs and dropper loops on one of our many anchor jobs. Maybe these fish will get with the program and bite but we won't be around to see it as we have to start making our way up the line. We'll do a little fishing on the way up tomorrow and we'll probably give it a full day on the local tuna grounds on Friday. Our weather is just dandy and we're enjoying our traveling at the moment. We'll report back to you tomorrow.

Before I go, a couple of things I'd like to address. First, Mark finally had himself some good ole' fashioned hardhat time today for being a humongous dork while winding in a yo-yo iron. Second, we'd like to issue a congrats to our good buddy and former Polaris Supreme family member Derek Waldman. Derek ran his first trip as master of the Red Rooster III and had himself a very solid first trip. For those of you who don't remember, Derek is a solid dude and has one of the biggest hearts a person could have and we're thrilled for him. Good job, Derek. Here's to many more.

Today we went out on our daily 3/4 day trip and caught 75 yellowtail. We saw some of the biggest schools of the year today. Yo-yo lures were the best,however we did catch a few on the surface iron and fly lined bait. Our next open trip is Thursday March 28.
